Great place by the canal. Sit outside in Summer or winter lovely fire inside. Usually 3 or 4 ales in. Often pop in for a beer or coffee and cake while walking the dog.

We’ve been here before. So booked for Mother’s Day evening.Had a warm welcome & seated straight away, the timings were great for us… the staff gave us enough time to settle into our seats & look at the wine menu. The staff gave us enough time between talking & deciding on starters & mains. We think there was only 4 ‘front of house’ staff & they made the evening perfect for us.Didn’t take any foodie photos this time. lol.

Stopped for a pint with friends. Beautiful little period pub, lovely fire roaring on a cold rainy evening. Didn't have food, but will definitely visit again ?

Our first visit and it was wonderful. We did not book but staff were so accommodating. The food was so good. We will definitely be returning.

Just OK. Atmosphere nice, staff friendly and service quick but tried to give us someone else's food a couple of times. Food was OK. Presentation could be improved, eg. Halloumi fries were just plain on plate with a separate dip and looked a bit forlorn - could do with a few salad leaves to brighten it up. My partner ordered the trio of roasts but they were out of pork so he asked for extra turkey in its place which was fine, however his meal was meant to be served with sausage meat stuffing, crackling and half a baked red apple, none of which arrived and his beef was chewy and hard to cut. The food quality was just OK and given the price of our meals (my lamb shank was over £20) was a little disappointing. Great selection of drinks including a very decent non-alcoholic range. Dog-friendly. Lots of parking. Will return but probably just for drinks.Parking: Plenty of parking.
