“During our visit to the UK from Cyprus, finding a great Sunday lunch is always on our agenda—and The Thatched Tavern exceeded all expectations. This charming restaurant, tucked away in Ascot, is an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome, and despite being fully booked, the service remained attentive and seamless throughout. The atmosphere was inviting, setting the perfect tone for a relaxing meal. Now, onto the food. Every dish was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor in every bite. The roast was simply exceptional—so much so that when it came time for dessert, my husband made an unusual but telling choice: instead of something sweet, he ordered another Roast Beef! The staff told us it was a first for them, and it certainly was for him too. A huge thank you to the entire team for making our experience so memorable. To the superb chefs and the wonderful staff, your dedication and passion truly shine through. We can’t wait to return!”

“Wow easily the best Sunday roast I have had at a pub in years! The most succulent chicken I have ever tasted and the roast potatoes were very good too which makes the roast. The staff are amazing and they make sure our 2 poodles always get a little bit of beef and a fuss so they always drag us in the doors when we arrive!! Top pub a must try”
