A friend booked this pub for a Sunday meet up of three families and we were allocated the private dining area which was bright and spacious. The food was tasty and well presented. The service was very friendly and efficient even though the pub was super busy. Car parking spaces are limited, but you can park along the road so not a problem.
You have to visit. No words can adequately describe this place.We both had a beer and the calves liver which was cooked to perfection (pink).I could have eaten from the whole menu, but hey, it was only lunch.Service was superb.The venue is an ancient site, apparently a building has occupied the site since 1480. Sunday roast was delicious. Knocking out one star because the service was slightly disappointing.It was a delightful experience. I would definitely visit again because of the food, I might edit the review and give five stars if I am satisfied with the service the next time.
