We booked Sunday lunch as a big family group of 12 for a birthday treat. We were delighted to have been surprised with a private room in this gorgeous characterful pub. The staff were so kind, friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious; from soup, to burgers to a full Sunday roast! I wish this was our local pub so we could visit all the time.Dietary restrictions: I’m coeliac and they were reassuring from the moment we booked in - all the gravy was gluten free and they even got gf Yorkshire puddings in for us!

What a lovely evening we had tonight for our company event. Food was great as was the service. Gabs had his team on the ball. Thank you. I’m sure we will be rebooking again soon.

We went for Tues pie night, good value £18.50 for pie, mash & veg and a glass of wine or beer. I went chicken, which was okay, the beef looked 100% better, more meat and not so soggy, i will have the beef next time.

The Thatched Tavern is a wonderful pub, with excellent food, and the service is amazing especially Paulo. Had a lovely time!

We had a lovely Sunday roast followed by puddings at The Thatched Tavern for my father’s 70th Birthday yesterday. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the staff friendly. The pub is a quintessential English pub with lots of character. We wouldn’t hesitate booking again even though we are almost an hours drive away and would recommend to friends and family.

Amazing pub- nowhere better in my opinion. Lovely atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door and the food is delicious ?

Lovely food, but some poor/rude service. Had to wait 20-30mins to order a drink and waiters were either inexperienced or abrupt/rudeKid-friendliness: I said we were bringing a baby but they had no high chairs, only booster seats. They were quite rude about helping us and just said "keep them in the pram" and muttered under their breath as they walked away "well that's your only option"

We had dinner with some friends here on Saturday night in mid January 2024.Food was very good, not a huge menu but decent choices and some specials also available. Our wine choice was not available and the waitress, who was very good and friendly, got a little flustered about it and tried to steer us to something we didn't really want. Also slow to get any menus when we sat down. But very nice and recommended, we had a lovely evening and will visit again.Kid-friendliness: Children's menu available and they were very happy to substitute items.

Sunday roast was delicious. Knocking out one star because the service was slightly disappointing. It was a delightful experience. I would definitely visit again because of the food, I might edit the review and give five stars if I am satisfied with the service the next time.

A friend booked this pub for a Sunday meet up of three families and we were allocated the private dining area which was bright and spacious. The food was tasty and well presented. The service was very friendly and efficient even though the pub was super busy. Car parking spaces are limited, but you can park along the road so not a problem.

One of the best pubs I've ever been to, I will continue to come back again and again. Amazing service and food.
