We stumbled across The Dundas Arms by chance after a poor experience at a different hotel and were able to book in last minute at the bar. Louise was extremely accommodating and helpful, saving us from an uncertain evening. We had a delicious meal and decided to stay an extra night due to the lovely room and service. Very satisfied would stay again and recommend to others.

Lovely location right on the Avon Kenett Canal. Room was very spacious and bed was really comfortable. Issue with TV and it was sorted within 5 mins which was excellent service. We ate here as well and the food was really good especially the English breakfast. Friendly staff which made our stay an overall 5/5.

Food was delicious but service was slow and dishes didn't arrive close together despite us just being a group of four.Ordering dessert required us to remind staff we needed to do so. One desert was brought out incomplete and had to be taken back to the kitchen to be finished.

It was a magic lunch we had on Friday 1 March. Host Matty and his team were wonderful with rheir hospitality. The food was excellent and the Butcombe Alessandro fabulous. I can recommend the Dundad Arms highly for anyone wanting a lovely relaxed meal.

Very nice place with the best restaurant service. The food is also very refined for a pub type of cuisine. On this occasion we ordered 2 dishes with leak in it and we could feel a small amount of sand/earth between our teeth in the cooking. Dish #1 was the fish cakes with leak and the other was the chicken and leak pie. The restaurant was very busy with a large party and the kitchen was under pressure so we waited a long time (we were warned and accepted that) so we didn't say anything about it as we had to be back on the road quickly. We will be back as we like the place in warmer weather and the food is normally faultless and that is why I still give a 5 star.

Great service and delicious food! Will be back and really recommend if you are in the area. The back garden is stunning, surrounded by the beautiful canals!

I booked the private room for my wife’s surprise birthday meal. The pub were so helpful. The preordering system was so simple to use and all my guests were able to make their choice beforehand. On the night, the staff were really kind and did everything to make the evening so enjoyable and run smoothly. The food was delicious and all the guests got what they ordered.

Sunday late afternoon at 5:30pm for drinks with friends. The bar area had very little seating (only high stools) even though there were only 2 other small groups, and the "snug" area had chairs on some tables and the barman said the area was out of bounds because "they would be closing soon". Closing time was advertised as 7pm for Sunday (90 minutes to go) so we were surprised and disappointed by the lack of welcoming space to sit and drink. We ended up moving chairs off tables to find suitable seating.

Staff were super friendly and helpful, letting us check in to our room over two hours early, which was much appreciated as we were on our way home from Heathrow after an overnight, long haul flight. Our room opened out onto a private patio with seating by the river - very peaceful. Dinner and breakfast in the snug by the open fire were both delicious. Lovely, traditional old pub with own parking. Menu had lots of choices. Staff went the extra mile to ensure that our stay was perfect and we look forward to staying here again. Thank you!

We had not been to the Dundas Arms and now I wonder why not. We had a simply lovely lunch yesterday with old friends and we left saying that we will definitely meet at the Dundas Arms next time. It was excellent in every single respect and we are now sad that we have not visited you more regularly. Thank you so much and we will see you soonRichard
