Called in with my daughter on Sunday afternoon hoping to get lunch. What a find! The staff are lovely, the food all homemade by a great chef who is passionate about wholesome, tasty dishes. The pub is cosy with a proper country feel. Nothing prissy or corporate. Just how a country pub should be. Well done guys! Be back soon ?

We stopped at the pub while walking around. This place is a gem! Very welcoming, warm, slow music, the right athmosphere to relax. We also had fish and chips which was delicious! Thank

Seven of us visited the pub on the way to a rugby match. Warm friendly welcome with a good choice of beers and menu. Service was excellent and food was very tasty- especially the pies!

Came off motorway to find somewhere to eat. This pub advertises serving good food so we located the pub. We were seated and the waitress told us she would bring the menu over. She came back 5 minutes later and told us they had decided to close the kitchen. Under the circumstances I’m sure they could have accommodated us ?! Also , considering pubs are apparently struggling to stay open with the added layer of the cost of living crisis turning away customers like this isn’t a great idea. The food may well be good here but good customer service goes a lot further these days . They should think about taking their advert down too.

We were greeted by friendly staff at the bar and chose where we wanted to sit in the cosy restaurant. Our dog willow was made very welcome with treats and a bowl of water. The food was delicious with generous portions and our roast dinners were accompanied by a wide selection of tasty seasonal vegetables with plenty of homemade gravy. Highly recommended especially for Sunday roast and locals night on Wednesday evening. This lovely community run pub also has a very popular quiz night on the first Tuesday of every month. There are some lovely circular walks that can be enjoyed from the Tally Ho before or after your meal! They even have three en-suite bedrooms upstairs if you need somewhere to stop over on your journey and are situated within a mile of the M4 junction 14 and the A4 close to Hungerford. Booking ahead is advised.

We went for Sunday lunch. My 3 year old doesn't eat much so I asked just for a sausage and Yorkshire pudding for him. When the food came 1 of the starters was wrong so they replaced it for the correct 1. Food was average I would say. When we came to pay we were charged for the more expensive starter and £10 for the 1 sausage and Yorkshire pudding!! I complained and it was reduced to £5. The whole meal was so expensive and not worth the money. I also found the staff quite rude. I wouldn't return
