The best fish and chips (and lasagne!) in Maidenhead. Consistently great food for the near 15 years we've lived here. Lovely team and managed by great people too.

Been here many times. The food is of good quality with generous portioning. The service is also top-notch every time. One of the few rare places I've been to where the staff are NOT professional eye contact avoiders. Absolutely recommend!Wheelchair accessibility: I myself do not require wheelchair access, but I have seen staff accompany customers at the door and put out wheelchair access ramps on the entrance to help them out.

Fish n chips is nice and large. Average pub price. Service is good. Ambience is ok. Pretty good overall.

Dog friendly, clean, smart and modern but still very comfortable. We didn't eat but the diners there praised the food highly.

Had the lamb, which was a disappointment. Although the lamb was nice, it came with too many small potatoes and some beans. No option to add some vegetables that would have transformed the meal. The salad for other meals came with the dressing already added but not announced in the menu. Complaints about this as the salads were not touched were met with deaf ears. Any decent place would at least apologise and offer some alternative. Our previous visit was far better, so hope this is a blip, although in my view the staff could do with some training.

We met at this pub for a pre-Christmas meal. There were 10 adults and 4 children. Menu choices were given ahead of the day to help the staff. We were served in stages as there were so many of us but I think the staff coped well and it wasn't a problem. The portions were very generous and no-one went hungry. Everyone paid in family groups which could have been a headache but went smoothly. The serving staff were young but were friendly and did a really good job. I would certainly use this venue in the future.

eard rave reviews so thought we’d give it a go. Booked on the day, they put us in the bar area, fair enough it was short notice. But on leaving the restaurant still had many vacant seats. we were the only people eating in the bar amongst people just in for a drink. Felt a bit uncomfortable. The food was very good value. Husband had the famous fish and chips which was exceptional and enormous! I had the seafood linguine, which again was massive portion. The only issue was that there was so much pasta there wasn’t enough sauce to cover it, but as I ploughed through it it got tastier and tastier. Note to chef, less pasta or more sauce. The whole menu looked absolutely delicious! I actually couldn’t decide as I wanted it all! Our server Ella was amazing, so attentive and very friendly and helpful, she was a delight. I can’t wait to go back to have everything else on the menu. Good value all in all, huge portions and generally a delightful experience.
The ambiance is just lovely. The staff are friendly, attentive and very polite. The food is tasty and portions are huge, I had to get some packed to take home. We were quite frequent patrons before the pandemic. So glad that this family run business is doing well. We go with our in-laws to enjoy an evening together and are never disappointed.

My self and my wife had dinner there on Friday. We had a starter of the cheese goujons and 2no main meals. My wife had the sea bass and I had the burger. Food was well cooked but completely lacked flavour. The lemon sauce which came with the fish wasn’t enough and the overall dish lacked seasoning. The burger the same. Staff were extremely helpful and polite.

The Windsor Castle is our local and the place of many happy celebrations. So it seemed only fitting to hold my late husband’s Wake there. And what a wonderful occasion it was - they put on a real show for my husband and couldn’t have been more supportive to me and my family. It was a truly wonderful send off for my husband - he would have Thank you to everyone involved.

Saw manager perving on waitress all night ( marriage clearly is not working) walls were sticky and so was the toilet handle for some reason? Wife said she saw a human poo in the smoking area in the corner Cannot confirm or deny this
