We met at this pub for a pre-Christmas meal. There were 10 adults and 4 children. Menu choices were given ahead of the day to help the staff. We were served in stages as there were so many of us but I think the staff coped well and it wasn't a problem. The portions were very generous and no-one went hungry. eard rave reviews so thought we’d give it a go. Booked on the day, they put us in the bar area, fair enough it was short notice. But on leaving the restaurant still had many vacant seats. we were the only people eating in the bar amongst people just in for a drink. Felt a bit uncomfortable. The food was very good value. The ambiance is just lovely. The staff are friendly, attentive and very polite. The food is tasty and portions are huge, I had to get some packed to take home. We were quite frequent patrons before the pandemic. So glad that this family run business is doing well. We go with our in-laws to enjoy an evening together and are never disappointed.
