NO WAY IS TOM KERRIDGE WORTH IT COMPARED TO HERE. Everything about the experience was absolutely wonderful. Amazing service, incredible food and wine. Please go here. We had the misfortune of going to the hand and flowers pre Xmas. It was double the money and average at very best. I call foul on Michelin for retaining Tom Kerridges two stars and robbing these guys of theirs. Absolutely the opposite should be the case. This is a destination venue, go out of your way to dine here.

I visited The Woodspeen with my husband and son. What a treat. We were welcomed by smiling, friendly staff. Once taken to our table, our drinks orders were taken giving us time to ponder over the menu. My husband and son decided to share the beef wellington. I ordered, the stuffed smoked cheese Pappardelle, pumpkin veloute, rocket, pumpkin seed dressing and with Wiltshire black truffle. When the food arrived, it was amazing. The beef Wellington was a show stopper. It was cut and served at the table with, precise culinary technique. Both my husband and son said it was absolutely delicious. My Pappardelle was also excellent. The staff were attentive and the atmosphere was great. All I can say is very well done Woodspeen. Would definitely visit you again and would recommend our family and friends to visit in the near future.

Our first time here and it will not be our last. Superb service, exceptional food and wine. I had mackerel and beef and Rick had goats cheese and Sea Bass. Rick had cheese and PX and we had the shared tarte tatin with a tokay. I picked a premier cru Santenay for our wine. Absolutely delicious.

I had the fillet steak with the beef pithivier this evening. Absolutely sublime. I can highly recommend the tarte tartin and the mushroom risotto too! Thomas and his team run a tight ship, with amazing food and excellent service always!

Family Christmas lunch. We had the cocktail experience with canapés followed by lunch at the cookery class building away from the restaurant. It worked for us as it was a big group so we had a private dining facility away from other diners. Alex the mixologist was skilful. The canapé was to die for! Our lunch was superb!! Very accommodating members of staff! Totally recommend.

Good but service let it down. We waited 20 minutes for drinks and sat with dirty plates for a while. Not the only table. Plenty of staff but they seemed to lack a bit of management and were not prioritising the people they had in over other jobs on the to do list. Food was really good and I would return

Three of us had lunch here. We ate from the vegan menu and it was tasty and healthy and better for planet than all the meat they serve.. The guy serving us at the table was a bit abrupt as we only drank sparkling water. The waitress Ellie was better but neither herself nor the guy found out what the animal sculpture in the garden was. It looked like a caribou and we wished to know- no sign and no-one knew. We also all ended up stinking of smoke, as they can't manage their wood burner. It was windy, so blew down the chimney. They really need to employ someone with the knowledge or teach the staff how wood burners work, as all the tables were engulfed with smoke. A very expensive meal. e won't be rushing back there.

Absolutely amazing experience with amazing service. We went with another family and 4 kids in total and the staff were amazing. The food was delicious and worth the money especially the kids desserts. I would HIGHLY recommend this place.

We stopped for a Sunday roast while on our way to Wales. The food was amazing, also the kids menu had very good quality options and the kids loved it. Our roast was delicious but the best part was amazing atmosphere made possible by lovely and friends stuff. We would love to go back!
