Couldn't speak highly enough of Root - really surprising meal, great ingredients, balance of flavour and very helpful waiting staff! Particularly liked the way they have small plates, great for sharing as a group. One of the best meals I've had in a very long time
Had a lovely dinner in Root in August. The restaurant was recommended to us and it didn’t disappoint! If you’re a picky eater, this may not be the restaurant for you as the dishes are a bit quirky and mostly vegetarian, but oh so tasty! Definitely one of my favourite Bristol restaurants!

Amazing meal here, they have a few 'meat dishes' but the majority are vegetables and utterly stunning. The absolute standout dish is a winter twist on the Caesar salad with grilled cabbage.
