Went as part of Mothers day meal.Used to be the Duke of York I think. The Sunday roast is excellent. I had beef... it was well presented and tasted delicious. Asked for horseradish sauce no problem (slight disappointment.... no mint sauce). Staff were friendly and helpfull. Can also recommend the pork(as I tried a piece from someone else on my table).I found the desserts to be rather on the small side, but to be fair they tasted really delicious. Also the coffee served here is of a good standard (tasted like real coffee beans)Overall a very pleasant experience. Can't really comment on accommodation as I did not stay.As to location.... Not exactly picturesque it's on the main Gloucester road, but had a free car park and looks good from the outside. Also good children's indoor area.

Food was awful. Waited 15 minutes to be served, ended up going to the bar to serve ourselves. Ordered the food, to then have them add that the chicken wasn’t available till after we paid for it. Then once the food came, they told us that they had no Yorkshire Puddings or veg. What we did eat was bland, beef was more tough than the sole of my Doc Martin. Thankfully refunded, but will not be returning.

Was a cold night and there was a real fire...very cozy.... What more can I add? Can get busy on some nights though if there's a match on....best to book a table and b sure to claim free parking it's not too clear at night... But there are signs

Food was very tasty. Good service and all food came out as ordered. Was more on the plate than expected so couldn't get a dessert down.

Had a very nice pre- Christmas evening here, and delicious venison stew, which was on special. Yum.

Great Sunday lunch served here. Beautiful rib slice and a superb brisket medallion with an amazing array of delicious vegetable, carrot nd swede mash, yourkshire puddings and crispy parsnip crisp. Great service throughout and cheeky little puddings too.You really need to visit

I had booked the crafty cow after seeing it on my journey to the hospital after my husband had an accident at work. I live 3 hours away in the Midlands. The staff have been so welcoming and accommodating as I am on my own not from the area. They went above and beyond to make me feel safe and comfortable. I would highly recommend. Not great circumstances for my trip and I have high anxiety but they really have put me at ease and I have had a lovely room to stay in. The food is fantastic and even brought it to my room for me. Would definitely visit again if I needed to more and in the area. Not sure how long I am staying here but while I am here it is comfortable friendly and I would say please do give this place a try. You won't regret this at all. Lovely staff and pub manager.
