What a fantastic impromptu dinner!This restaurant was so welcoming to us as unannounced guests and seated us at a lovely table.The service initially was very slow but once they realised we were hungry, they kicked into gear.We had fish cakes to share to start and they were amazing! Gilbey's is reliably wonderful - our favourite restaurant in the area. Great food (especially the soups!), and lovely atmosphere. The service is also always fantastic, led by Sandy. Is so so sad the Amersham Gilbey's is now up for sale :-(

We visited July 24th to celebrate a family birthday and we all thoroughly enjoyed our starters, mains & desserts. Such a beautiful meal along with caring, attentive service. Thrilled that they open on a Monday too as so few quality restaurants do these days!. We will definitely be rebooking another visit within the next couple of weeks.
