This place has gone downhill. A few years ago you could sit down to have decent fish n chips at a reasonable price given the area. Then the sit down closed and the portions shrunk with price going up.Tonight is the last time we go. Haddock was so dry but the batter was thick and wet. Undercooked old fish my wife said. The kids cod was better but the chips were soggy and potato tasting. Not good. Someone said new mgmt. Not form the better.
5 star service from the team at Smiles this evening. I put in an order for 95 portions of fish and chips at 1pm for an evening collection for a last minute function. Not only did the turn it around as promised, they did it on time and the food was piping hot. Fish was the best I’ve eaten in a long time and our clients couldn’t sing the praises of the food enough. Will be back!
