This pub never fails to impress. Today was Sunday roast and it was delicious. I am veggie so had the vegan Wellington which was very tasty and lovely yorkshire, roasties and veg with it. The others had chicken supreme abd said it was delicious. Crumbles and sticky toffee for pudding, which were very good and worth not having a starter for. I would 1000% recommend this amazing pub.Vegetarian options: The Wellington is incredible!

We enjoyed a wonderful Sunday lunch here today with family. The staff were so friendly and attentive. Food was fantastic and served promptly. The decor is outstanding. Lovely rustic beams and multi level dining areas. Definitely one of the most interesting and beautiful places I’ve had food before.All the Sunday lunches were delicious and desserts were top notch. We will recommend and return for sure. Thank you OQH.

EVERYONE had THE best time!The Old Queen's Head hosted my 30th birthday party and it was a total blast. Brilliant staff, tastiest food, the perfect space. Couldn't recommend this pub or their team any more!!

Good local pub which usually has a buzzing atmosphere. Sometimes closes a bit early compared to other pubs. But overall a decent pub.

Had lunch here the other day and the food was very tasty. The reason they lost stars was because it took an hour to serve the food after ordering and the portions were rather small for the price in my opinion. If the kitchen is busy I think customers should be told at the start what to expect.

We visited today Xmas day 2023 to the Old queens head in penn, food delicious service impeccable very much well worth what we paid. A group of us decided to have our Christmas Doo here this year - lovely 'proper' pub where drinkers are as welcome as diners. I love the local pub atmosphere, and the food was delicious. We booked a table for 7.30pm which wasn't available until 7.50pm, and the main course wasn't served until 10pm which did not bother me in the slightest (probably because I was drinking and having a fine time), although some of my teetotal friends weren't so content. Attentive staff, good real ale and lovely food, this place gets my seal of approval. Many thanks

Party of 6 and 2 dogs for Saturday lunch. A trip down memory lane for one who'd worked here aa a waitress in late 1980s. She said it was much nicer now. Friendly service. 3 of us had smoked haddock which was nice to see on a menu. Delicious. Nice buzz about it. Still feels like a pub but with good food.
