We visited today Xmas day 2023 to the Old queens head in penn, food delicious service impeccable very much well worth what we paid. A group of us decided to have our Christmas Doo here this year - lovely 'proper' pub where drinkers are as welcome as diners. I love the local pub atmosphere, and the food was delicious. We booked a table for 7.30pm which wasn't available until 7.50pm, and the main course wasn't served until 10pm which did not bother me in the slightest (probably because I was drinking and having a fine time), although some of my teetotal friends weren't so content. Had lunch here the other day and the food was very tasty. The reason they lost stars was because it took an hour to serve the food after ordering and the portions were rather small for the price in my opinion. If the kitchen is busy I think customers should be told at the start what to expect.
