We Came here on the off chance they had a table after visiting my parents in Woburn and they squeezed us in, we are so glad they did as the food was absolutely delicious ? well done to the chef for the delicious food & all the kitchen staff too, we can only thank the wonderful bar staff and the friendly waitresses as nothing was too much trouble. Lovely, pretty and cosy pub for a meal. The food was all delicious, I had the Indian Bird burger and my husband had the chicken and chorizo pie. The waiter Emon was very attentive and friendly, he made the best alcohol free passionfruit martini!

The hotel’s restaurant over the road was closed on Saturday due to a wedding so we walked across the square to the Anchor, with no reservation we were warmly received and found a table. The food and service were impeccable and suitably rounded off with an Irish coffee. Excellent on all counts.
