We came here for dinner after getting married, we chose the Black Horse as it's where we had out first date so have some amazing memories here.At the last minute I called and spoke to Otis to organise some additional elements to make it more special, all of which were no trouble.Dinner and drinks were great , they always are here, but the real treat came when we asked for the bill and were told they'd taken care of it! Very nice food. The squash salad and goats cheese was beautiful, and the polenta cake is one of the best I've had!The staff were quite busy (It was Friday evening to be fair) but they were all really pleasant.Would definitely go back again.

Revisited this pub after a couple of years and still 5 stars from me. Exactly what you want from a British pub but this is a step up for the standard pub grub fayre. I had Beef Wellington (sorry I got stuck straight in and forgot to take a pic) from their specials board. A risky choice because it has to be done just right but the risk paid off, loved it, excellent! Staff were hustling because it was a busy day but still friendly and attentive. Definitely going back.
