This is a gem. A 600 year old pub located by the village church, the friendly staff serve good beer and really excellent pizza. It is a proper pub with character which has not been turned into a restaurant or gastro pub. The pizza is from a van in the lovely garden - a really good pub. Highly recommended.
One of dying breed. Nice country pub, firebin wintwr, lovely beer garden in summer, free house choice of beers and ales with standard favourites plus some nice rotations... and without the usual chain dross. Nice quirk of having a wood fired pizza oven in the garden offering really tasty 'made to order' rather than 'hauled from freezer' pizzas.Kid-friendliness: Occassional flurry of youngsters have space to roam and are catered for with consideration.

Fantastic country pub just down the road from a certain atmosphere-less hotel. 2 fires on the go... good selection of drinks including ales too and one of the best pizzas I have had in a LONG time. Would definitely recommend the walk down to visit this absolute gem.
