EDITED AFTER FIRST REVIEW...... went to Hodsons again, a week after first review. Couldn't keep away as the food is so much better than elsewhere. Rang first to check was open. So glad it was. Lovely food, Fish particularly nicely cooked. Generous portions. Best in town.
Its fish and chips...British fish and chips so the fish can be a bit of a miss at times. Otherwise its ok for a cheeky fish and chip supper. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit (but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit pretty much every chippy in the UK anyway) but its ok for what it offers.

The portion sizes of these guys are incredible. Unless you have the appetite of a rhino, you can easily spilt the chips with someone else especially if you're having a fish or like us, some pineapple fritters.Good price for what you get and is always made fresh to order. Remember on Monday they have a gluten free day!
