Great staff and comfortable surroundings. I was walking the dog and felt tired and thirsty do we popped in for an orange juice. We sat on the outdoor seating area and watched the world go by. I didn't feel awkward being alone and was made very welcome by the friendly staff.
This is a proper old-school boozer, and such places are in short supply nowadays, particularly in Peterborough. There is a regular crowd, the familiar people, but also the infrequent visitor. I come here fairly regularly Some nights it is heaving. Others, it is merely moderately busy, but it certainly demonstrates that there are still people in my home town who want to go to a pub to drink, and eat crisps and peanuts, rather than some poncy, overpriced pub grub.
