“Having moved to St Ives a few months ago, we were looking for a friendly relaxed local, with great service and good food. Floods is it! The team are always so friendly and helpful, and the food portions are really generous. The beer garden backing on to the river is the perfect spot for a warm summer day. We keep going back, and know it's one of our regular haunts. Well done Sam, Phil and the team!”

“The pub has recently changed hands so we wanted to head to try the new food offerings - boy, are we so glad we did! This pubs always been a favourite and will continue to be just that. We had dinner on a saturday night - lovely atmosphere! Had the camembert bread bowl to start - the best starter we’ve ever had! Its huge, amazing value and just DIVINE! We tried the korean chicken burger, poutine, chicken tenders for our mains, all absolutely stunning and finished off by trying the Pain au chocolat bread and butter pudding, stunning! Couldn’t recommend heading here for food more! We can’t wait to go back!

Headed back today (23rd August) for lunch - croque monsieur with added egg, foccaccia bread (bar snacks) and patatas brav-ish (bar snacks) - croque monsieur was a HUGE hit, ham that melts in the mouth and the cheese sauce is beautiful”

I had the absolute pleasure of providing a mobile disco for Mr. and Mrs. Cornwell’s special day at The Seven Wives, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The venue is charming, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for weddings, parties, and special occasions.

The staff at The Seven Wives were friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful — they made sure everything was well-organised so the night ran smoothly for both the guests and myself as the DJ. It’s clear they take pride in making every event special.

If you’re looking for a venue with great facilities, a welcoming vibe, and a team that goes the extra mile, I’d highly recommend The Seven Wives. I’d be delighted to return for another celebration in the future.”

“I travel to the area for business every week and use this hotel. It is extremely welcoming and friendly that I always feel at home. The food is top notch in the restaurant and I have always slept soundly in the rooms above; having not been able to hear my neighbours (which is more than I can say for other hotels). The staff are chatty, engaging and very helpful. A great place to stay, with a lovely walk down the river.”
