Pubs • “Tucked away on Brook Street this was the first time we've visited the Deva Tap. There is an excellent selection of beers and ciders, well presented with chalk boards overhead to make your choice easier. I had two pints of a lovely, hazy IPA which was good enough to drink every night without getting bored of it. Both the strawberry and pineapple ciders, one still, were great. The night we attended all the burgers were 2 for 1 which was a bonus. They were delicious and a portion of fries between two of us was enough due to the large portion size. I had some buffalo chicken wings to start which again were excellent. The highlight however were the pizzas. They were huge and tasted fantastic. At the end of the night anything we couldn't eat was boxed up to take home. The service was faultless all night and the prices were excellent for what you got. The best beer tap house I've ever been to.”
Pubs • “We were visiting Chester and saw this absolute gem of a pub from the city wall. The welcome was warm and friendly. The landlady even got her cat from her bed because I was missing mine!! The food was amazing. My husband had the liver and I had the haggis, it was a hard decision advice wanted it all.”

The young man who was front of house was amazing: polite, friendly knowledgable. The chef brought our food out and he was great too - nice touch. We will definitely be back - it was worth every mile of the journey.”
Pubs • “The red lion is me and my friends favourite pub we go every week, the reason me and my friends love this pub as it has a great atmosphere no matter what day you go in with amazing and friendly staff who always have a smile on their face and are always happy to help. The food that the red lion serves is always incredible with my favourite food to order being the mega mix grill.”

Live music on a Sunday. Pleasant & accommodating staff. What’s not to love?!? Defo worth a visit if you are visiting Chester.”
