Clean restaurant and friendly staff. I went twice in one day as I’m staying at the hotel, breakfast was fab, lots of options and all you can eat. I really like that I went in the middle of the afternoon and my son had a proper kids meal (starter, main and dessert) for a good price. The atmosphere is nice. We booked already a table for tomorrow, as we want to have a nice meal before our road trip.

Following our family meal in October, my wife and I decided to come back for a belated festive dinner just the two of us. We were delighted to be greeted by the same server we had last time. mayah made our visit special when we came with family. Today we were predominately served by a different waitress but mayah still came to say hello and offer friendly conversation whilst we waited for our meals. Jan C took our orders and bought our food, both ladies were lovely, as was our food. Thanks again folks, we always enjoy a pleasant meal with you.

I attended on a solo journey to the farmhouse beefeater, mayah was there and able to help. She did everything for me with no trouble and even had a laugh on the in between. Really improved my night as I’d just returned from Leighton hospital after having some bad news. Thanks mayah

Went for a Christmas meal with a sporting team and had a fantastic evening. Lynne our server was fantastic and was very clear in options. The gluten free options were good and not just the standard burger and chocolate brownie choices. Lynne was fantastic and fully understood the need to keep gluten free/allergy food separate and detailed the cross contamination risk clearly. Festive food was delicious - Gluten free smoked salmon & prawn cocktail salad Gluten free turkey dinner Gluten free mint sundae

Haven’t been here for a long time, it seemed a bit quiet but the food was nice, I had a burger which was well cooked. Took a while to get a drink but it wouldn’t put me off coming again.

I was travelling back from Chester at lunch time so I booked my table online at the Farmhouse Beefeater, I arrived slightly late and I was welcomed in to my table. I'd like to say thank you to Lynne for her great friendliness.?The lunch menu was great meal choice and I really enjoyed the meal and the dessert I chose.?I would like to wish Lynne and her Farmhouse Beefeater colleagues A merry Christmas and a very happy new year and I'll see you soon ?

Clean, food come out piping hot. Onion rings were delicious. Burger cooked to perfection with crispy bacon. Good service
What a lovely meal outThis was made more special by our sever Peter. He was attentive and funny. Such a lovely man advised us on recommendations. The steak was lovely and drinks doubles. The dessert was huge more than expected. Lovely atmosphere. Will be returning.

Stayed at the premier inn next door on Monday night, not the first time I've dined here as I used to stay here regularly when on work trips. I ordered the beer battered fish and chips with double crunch wings to start. The wings were lovely and went down really well with 74 sauce. The fish and chips however was awful. The batter on the fish was rock hard and the fish itself wasn't nice and tender but very chewy. I can't fault the staff the lady that served me at the bar and brought my good over was lovely and helpful. A bit of a shame as I've had some lovely meals at this restaurant but that one was very poor indeed. The 2 star review is given for wings mainly

We looked forward to this visit as we haven’t been in a very long time. However, there has been a noticeable drop in standard of food. From the festive menu I had the turkey meal and the sprouts were inedible, I couldn’t cut a parsnip at all, roast potatoes were burned and the meal needed another slice of meat (available at extra cost). My granddaughter aged ten had the children’s roast turkey meal and was served a potato so black we weren’t even sure if it was a potato. Then on the adult dessert menu only two types of sundae were available from the whole list. We weren’t told this before I made my initial choice, I would’ve gone for something else. There was no price I could see for the turkey dinner alone outside of the festive menu which is two courses minimum. On the plus side when I spoke to our waitress she offered me more veg which I declined and agreed to let me choose from the main dessert menu. I had sticky toffee which was average. But a decent portion. The children chose the igloo pudding which had a novelty factor and they enjoyed it. Others in the group were underwhelmed with their food also and were glad we had a discount code. We won’t be returning soon.

What a disappointment ? we arrived on time for a 3.30 meal. We ordered after about 20 minutes of us all perusing the menu. 45 minutes or maybe even more our meal arrived. There was hardly anybody in, so we were surprised about this. After we'd finished, it took over 30 minutes for anybody to come and clear our plates. Eventually, we had to go and ask for menus and plates to be cleared as the two young children were looking forward to a pudding. I ended up leaving at 6 pm after eating a mediocre burger. No didn't complaint as it was a family occasion. It's very awkward!

I spent the night on a business stay over. Kirsty was fantastic on the food side of things, clearly confirming what was inclusive in the meal deal and going out of her way to confirm the details with me. Harriet on the bar was also brilliant, not only with myself but the customers before me, advising of what was available and apologetic if unable to assist. Made my time here a pleasant experience and would feel confident the same level of service will be offered on future dates. Massive well done to both and a credit to the business.
