“First visit and we just popped in on a bike ride. We had a lovely warm welcome from Emma (bar). She recommend the salt and pepper chicken, it was fresh and very tasty. We sat in the bar garden and enjoyed the sun with G&T. The pub was a great find and we would recommend a visit. We will be back very soon. 5* from us.”

“I've been associated with this pub for 16 years. Ever since the floors were sticky and they had a cigarette machine. To see it becoming something more modern to stay afloat warms my heart, and I hope it sticks around for another 16 years.”

“We often come here for a drink, simply because its the closest pub to where we live. We went in on a Saturday afternoon with intention of having a drink and some food, we went to the bar and bought two pints, one was quite frothy, so my partner politely asked for a little top up. The lady serving turned to a regular and said 'This is why I hate working here'. We wanted some food, the menu states sandwiches available til 5pm, we went to the bar to order at 16.30 and were told the kitchen is closed until 5pm. The menu needs updating with correct serving times. The opening times are often irregular, it isn't reliable, we sometimes go of an afternoon and it isn't open or isn't serving food. I understand working in customer service is sometimes challenging and I do love supporting smaller businesses, but the attitude of the staff is paramount and to blatantly state in front of a customer that they're the reason you hate your job, is absolutely awful customer service.”

“We held our son's surprise 21st Birthday Party here and we had a great time. The buffet was lovely, the staff were all helpful, friendly and couldn't do enough to help us. It was a great success and the back room is perfect for parties and all of our family and friends complimented the buffet choices. The food was fresh and tasty.”
