Fabulous place, the Sunday lunch is amazing. Well worth the one hours drive to dine here. All the FOH team very attentive.

We are trying to do some country walks and had chosen a walk from the Bells in the Cheshire Countryside. We booked lunch for after our walk. Being January the walk was cold and alot of the fields were muddy but the thought f a lovely lunch at the end kept us cheerful and the Bells did not disappoint. We were running late and let them know and it was no problem. The staff are friendly and cheerful and extremely helpful. The young man on the bar was really lovely and drinks were served very quickly. All of the waiting staff in the restaurant couldn't've be more helpful or friendly. Great service. We had the artisan bread and popcorn shrimps to start. I am allergic to shellfish but my husband and son loved the shrimps. The bread and butter was outstanding and worthy of many up market tasting menus I have tasted. I had the chicken supreme which was delicious with a wonderful rich gravy and very tasty moist chicken. My Husband had the lamb which was cooked to perfection and our son had the fish and chips which was really lovely. The fries were the best I have tasted in any pub/restaurant and tased amazing they were crisp but soft inside and tasted home made not out of the freezer. We have never been before but will definitely be back and would give more than 5 stars if we could.

This pub and it's gardens are fabulous. The grounds are beautiful and in warmer months are so enjoyable to spend time in . Warm drinks served even though very busy. A joy compared to other local pubs

Looking forward to the family visit on New Year’s Day. I checked out their website & menu looked good with lots of choice. When we arrived we were given a paper ‘brunch’ menu, it was 3pm in the afternoon! We were then told they didn’t have fish & chips from this menu, basically all that was left suitable for lunch was a burger. Most of our group didn’t want a burger. After some discussion we decided to go elsewhere. I completely understand it was NYD, & a reduced menu but brunch, all day? We should have been told when we booked and the website should have mentioned the reduced menu.

The staff were very pleasant and friendly but certainly my food was well below par. The mushroom and tarragon soup was lukewarm and the tarragon drowned any taste of mushrooms. The pastry on the cheese and onion pie was significantly overcooked and when cut open a watery liquid flooded out onto the plate with scraps of red cheese and lumps of hard potato.

This is a beautiful pub in a lovely setting. We visit often but our Christmas visit was disappointing. This was due to the service. It was very slow ,careless and inattentive. When I had to go and ask twice for the dessert menu I was told they were still being printed. Just not made to feel welcome.

Bells of Peover nailed it again this Christmas Eve! The Sunday sirloin roast was pure perfection—flavour-packed and tender with all the classic trimmings. The service? Spot on—friendly and attentive. The pub's old-world charm is the ideal backdrop for a cozy festive meal. For a top-notch Sunday roast and a warm atmosphere, Bells of Peover is a must-visit. Five stars—no question!

A great little pub with fantastic tasty food and amazing staff. The 2 young ladies serving us today were so friendly and professional with nothing being too much trouble. I would highly recommend.

I regularly visit this pub with friends, family, or a date night. It suits all occasions. Food is top notch. Adorable British pub with quaint entrance. Cozy in winter and fun outdoor area in summer. I always recommend it to people and it’s a pleasure to see it flourish under new management. I’ve just been shown their new private dining room in the barn. Cannot wait to use this over the festive period.

Our recent second visit sadly was really quite poor compared to first time we visited a couple of months ago. The service was very much lacking, no welcome when you arrive through the bar (this happened the first time too) - one staff member sat at tables folding napkins ignored us, another one on a laptop did the same. Finally after we were stood there awkwardly being obviously ignored, a blonde lady came out, no smile and with quite an abrupt manner took us through to the dining room. The table we were sat at was right under a speaker playing cheesy rock music at too high a volume. We asked to move tables. The food was just ok this time, nothing special for the price and totally undercooked and soggy fries were served with the burger, which was dry. We asked for them to be done again, they were a bit better this time but still seemed like frozen fries. The first time we visited we got fluffy and crispy wedges which were nice and clearly home made. It was also chilly and I kept my coat on to stay warm. The service was the main thing which would put me off coming again. One young girl was pleasant but clearly lacked training, the other blonde lady was quite abrupt and we felt like an inconvenience. Staff members seemed to be sitting down at tables with their friends to chat and talking really loudly. Overall very disappointing and we won’t return.

This is one of the best meals we have eaten in a long time! We started with a while you wait dish of popcorn shrimp, 2 starters 2 mains and 2 desserts all prepared to perfection! We each had 2 alcoholic drinks so £50-£60 per person was reasonable for the amount we ordered. The quality of food was incredible, service was fantastic all tied together with a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Kids food quality and portion sizes all good, but as for the adult cheese pie with mash/chips/fries and veg… what came out of the 1/3 filled pies was very runny cheesy liquid with a few small chunks of potato. The veg was a tiny serving of cabbage (nice but tiny) and the fries were ok but slightly under cooked and again a tiny portion. Third time we’ve been here and really not sure what went wrong, compared to both previous visits, which we both 4+ stars. Maybe it was the fact is was 4pm on a Friday and not a Sunday. Oh well!!!Vegetarian options: Avoid cheese pie at all costs.Kid-friendliness: All good and welcoming.
