Excellent meal, but pricey. Dark beer was "off", and although changed on request, the next one was no better. I was designated driver, so it was pints of diet coke for me. The other in our party of 3 had a perfectly good cask ale (Timmy Taylor Boltmaker). Star lost for service due to bar staff not checking back about the replacement drink. Excellent pub with great food and relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Very dog friendly with treats and even dog beer! Got the humans, the food all tastes freshly made and good sized portions. We are just visiting friends and staying locally so went in for dinner tonight and had a great experience. Have been here before for lunch and again the food was great, but it was fairly quiet. Will definitely go there again and no hesitation in recommending it.

We visited at lunchtime between Christmas and New Year. Although it was busy, we were seated quickly. We struggled to choose between food items, as the menu looked really good. In the end we all opted for Fish & Chips with minted peas. The food portion was perfect and the food was really tasty. The staff did check backs and were very pleasant. The food that was being served to others also looked great. We will definitely return.
