Poor quality & portion size.

Unfortunately we had a bad lunch experience today, normally I wouldn't post online but as the staff failed to follow up and ask how our meal was so I thought I would leave the review here.We ordered a children's cheese sandwich only to be brought with the wrong order. They did correct the order straight away but instead of just apologising they put the blame on the person taking the order saying it had been put through incorrectly (this level of detail wasn't needed). The second sandwich we received (although the correct filling) was pre gated cheese (with the flour exterior) and the bread had no butter, you lifted the sandwich and all the cheese fell out, not something you could feed your 6 year old or 1 year old. Third sandwich came as big doorstop cheese - again not great for kids but by this point we had given up.Adults meals - oatcake and burrito were ok but far too much cheeseIf I were to visit again I would just stick to coffee and cake. It was far too expensive for the meals we received, and the children's picnic platter was not worth the costKid-friendliness: Not kid friendly

Great little gem just off the M6. Far better food than a motorway services. Reasonable amount of parking with the addition of a farm shop, very small garden nursery and a few other shops. Out of town area so plenty of fresh air. Seating inside and some sheltered outside. Excellent cooked breakfast is a good choice. Easy access for wheel chairs and buggies. One spacious toilet in the cafe. Definitely recommend.Parking: Reasonable amount of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Easy access

Good choice on menu ranging from breakfast to lunch, staff friendly and polite. Not a very big place so it may get busy at lunchtime.

Big good coffee and top quality bread / bacon but just over £11 was a shock! Thanks but not again.

My wife had the goats cheese and beetroot salad which was significantly better than my ploughman's. £12 for a few leaves, 2 pickled onions, a pot of Branston, a slice of bread, a few grapes and 2 fingers of cheddar cheese would have been overpriced at half of what I paid. As we're in the area for a week we had hoped that it may be a place to have lunch but cannot envisage returning.

A little disappointed for our cafe stop. Prices are bit expensive for what you get and the ordering of food and drink needs to be addressed. One unisex toilet for all customers, which definitely isn't enough. Will I visit again, probably not. Snowdrops Cafe nearby better all round.

Arrived today for coffee and cake with the option to to go larger but we were told that it would be at least an hour for food and DRINKS! I grew up in the catering trade and with tables free and an inability to use them seems madness.

Lovely cafe and great customer service. Cakes are to die for and the tea is pretty splendid too. Will definitely be on my list of needing to visit more often. Had to buy several cake slices to take home for the family who raved about them.
