Chimichangos Mexican Restaurant
11 Wheelock St, Cheshire, Middlewich10 of us visited Chimichangos, we've all been before many times and as always it was fabulous.
The service was excellent, the 2 young girls serving were really attentive, we'd barely sat down and they were taking drinks orders and they made sure we never waited for anything.
The restaurant was buzzing, it's great to see places busy these days, the atmosphere was lovely and it looked like everyone was having a great time. The decor is spot on, it feels like being in Mexico even on a cold winter's night.
On to the food. I don't know how the chef does it but the food is unmatched in the area, the flavours are literally incredible. We were given a sampler of a Taquito which is a new starter on the menu and they were mega, full of flavour, like the rest of the food. We had a selection of Burritos, Quesadillas, Fajitas, most of the variations on main courses and everyone was blown away.
There aren't many restaurants where I'd like a 6th star to mark it as just that bit better than everywhere else, but this is definitely one of those places.
I can't recommend this place anymore and I can't wait to visit again.

Little Lock coffee shop
Webb's Ln, MiddlewichLove this little dog friendly cafe. We try to walk along the canal every Sunday and stop here, either for breakfast or coffee and cake. All is delicious and service always comes with a smile.

The White Bear
Wheelock St, MiddlewichVery welcoming as a lone diner. Excellent food, credit to the chef and staff here. The pie was delicious and it was lovely for the chef to come over to check if I was enjoying it, that’s unusual given most chefs hide away in the kitchen not to be seen, but a very nice touch from the chef. I highly recommend the homemade cheese & onion pie. Overall 10/10 and will definitely come back again to try the other pies. Thanks

Kinderton St, MiddlewichNice to see the Kinderton open again. Called in on a Saturday for lunch and had a nice meal. This is the best place in Middlewich to eat/drink so it's important that it is supported.

The Big Lock pub & restaurant
Webb's Ln, MiddlewichOffering a lovely warm atmosphere, right by the canal, this is our go to place for great choice and excellent value food. The service is very good, we're never rushed and staff are always on hand to offer advice on the menu if required. In good weather you can sit on a balcony overlooking the canal or sit outside at the front. Very friendly, tasty food, and hubby says the beers are great! Highly recommended!

It has a lovely landlady, great staff, and the best music to suit all genres by two top DJ's, Dizzy and James. Although food is not served on a regular basis Janice and her team do a lovely buffet to suit all occasions

Cheshire Grill Country Pub & Steakhouse
Holmes Chapel Road, NorthwichWe stayed here overnight in our campervan. They were very welcoming. The surroundings and atmosphere are great. We had steaks which were as good as you will ever get. They are dog friendly and the service was superb. Starter, mains and desert were of a very high quality, obviously prepared by an excellent chef. This is not normal pub food, but true gourmet food. The wine was also of a very good quality. I would highly recommend both the food and an overnight stay for any motorhomer.

Kinderton St, MiddlewichLovely old building, had a quiet pint with the mrs and a great nights sleep, i definitely prefer this over the travel lodge. The service was amazing and the room is closer to town and has a warmer more archaic feel to it, we didn't get to thank the staff as we had to leave early but I hope they know how appreciated their amenities were 10/10 will definitely be visiting again

Passed the Paragon during the day and picked up a menu and thought I would give them a try.
Great service and food, no need to look anymore, will be ordering again very soon.
Highly recommended.

Newton Brewery Inn, 68 Webb's Ln, MiddlewichI paid £45 for a hotel room with shared bathroom. I think this represents great value when you need somewhere to get your head down for one night. If looking for more than one night i might look at other options. The place is clean but tired and does have a bit of a musty smell to it. Note that toiletries are not provided for the shower. Walking distance from centre of town. Good amount of parking. Massive beer garden overlooking the river.
