Stopped off for a Sunday roast as pollards was busy but I am glad it was as this was one of the best roast dinners we have had. Staff very friendly and can't do enough we will definitely be back
A local village pub. We went in on a Friday night, and it was busy. We waited about 5 minutes to be served at the bar. On ordering drinks, my daughter (nearly 21) was not asked for ID, but later, a bartender came over and asked her for ID? I understand that it is challenge 25, but please ask for ID at the point of sale as it brings attention to us and especially her in the middle of a very busy pub. I just hope that this wasn't linked to being the only people of colour in here......read full review

We were on a walk down the Wirral way from Hooton station and this is a really nice handy place to stop for lunch as it is on a crossroads and there are numerous walks in different directions that can be done from here. They have a great menu and I tried out the pulled lamb baguette. It was a great tasty meal at a reasonable price. They also have a good range of beers. Service was excellent and efficient.
