Had Sunday lunch here today with family ,first visit and the food was superb . A lovely atmosphere will be going again soon can't wait

Recently visited on a Friday lunchtime with my elderly aunt and wife. The food is good wholesome food. My wife had corned beef hash and I had sliced beef on a roll with gravy and chips. For sweets it was apple tart and custard and sticky toffee pudding with custard. The service was very good even though it was busy and the atmosphere is also very good with prices that wont break the bank. Found within a lovely picturesque village the George & Dragon needs to be good otherwise it would not exist. Give it go you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I had lunch yesterday 12 September. The food was fine, but towards the end, a couple came in with 2 dogs. Despite them being shown the area where dogs are allowed, they sat next to myself and my wife while we were eating. One dog was on the floor next to me, the other was allowed to sit on the chair with its owners. I find this extremely unhygienic, if it wasn’t for the fact that we had nearly finished our meal I would have asked to be seated elsewhere.
Ham and egg salad was a lovely light lunch, sat outside in the sun with the view of the beautiful village. Will be back!
