If you want to go to a proper pub, the one like your dad took you to back in the day , go for a couple of pints here. Don't have to worry if you ain't got designer gear on just sit back , relax and let you shoulders drop for a while.

Beijing Restaurant

A gem of a Chinese restaurant which we frequently go to and the standard of food is always really high across the whole menu. The only place we would order from in Poynton and it’s collection only if you’re after a takeaway but worth it.

We took advantage of the 5pm-6.30 early doors menu - 2 selected courses for £20. I had 2+ ribs and a yellow chicken curry and there was plenty for me even if the ribs portion was probably smaller than full price. They were quite accommodating of my wife's dietary requirements, and as ever, the service was very pleasant. With drinks and top for £60. Can't be bad these days.

The Cask Tavern

We didn't have food but I didn't want to drop stars. We were pleasantly surprised at the Cask. Lots of ales and other drinks including Kombucha - which I hadn't spotted until after I ordered a gin. Next time. A great alternative to alcoholic drinks for me. A lovely addition to the village. See you again soon.

Il Borgo Antico

Our first visit since a change in management and what a difference! Very friendly efficient service which saw the chef coming out to clarify my wife's dietary issues, before 2 very tasty meals following. And reasonably priced too. Well be back. Well done folks!

The Kingfisher - JD Wetherspoon

Yes Spoons is an aquired taste but this is a nice pub and food is great. You know what you're getting and there's plenty of seating options. I go at a quiet time of day and enjoy the visit.

The Farmers Arms

Kyle Allen George - was superb - most helpful, friendly service and good rapport - the mushy peas with the gammon made it (even though the pineapple chunks had gone missing) cheers Kyle the blond streaks were great !
