Booked in here for Sunday lunch, didn't know what to expect as we have never been, pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, lovely friendly staff and a great lunch, very traditional pub and made to feel very welcome, will definitely return.

Fabulous Sunday Roast - friendly & prompt service. Excellent value as we booked online with the 2 for £20 deal. Would definitely recommend a visit to this traditional village pub!

Excellent Sunday Lunch. Joanne and her staff were their usual friendly, helpful and professional selfs. Great start to the year!!

Always friendly. Lovely food! For those that drink it they have real ale on tap. There is a good car park and plenty of pretty walks nearby.

10 of us went for a Christmas meal that had been booked prior to the new landlord's tenancy. The food was beautifully presented, the veg was obviously freshly cooked and roasted, no hard potatoes or parsnips there (unlike last year's offering!) and the staff were efficient and helpful. We're looking forward to going in there more often to eat. We'd stopped going because of the previous 'sports bar, music overload' feel to the pub. A good experience.

Checked out this pub as I had heard it had changed hands, I was extremely happy with the service, staff were very helpful friendly and warm! I’m looking forward to heading back in over the Christmas period with some friends!

We went for a meal last evening, and had a wonderful time. I booked online and our requested table was ready for us. The pub was busy and had a great atmosphere. We had a lovely warm welcome. The bar staff and manager were welcoming and happy. We ordered our drinks and went to our table. The menu caters for vegetarian and gluten free too. There was lots of choice and something for everyone. The waitress came over and told us about the soup of the day and pie etc, and seemed happy and attentive. The food was delicious, hot and fresh, and served on hot plates. My husband had the garlic ciabatta, and burger for main, I had the mushroom with garlic, cheese and breadcrumb and chicken in creamy garlic and mushroom sauce for my main. I asked for a bit of extra sauce ( some places I’ve been to before the sauce hardly covers the chicken, so I always ask for a bit extra). The main came with a side jug of extra sauce and extra fresh mushrooms in too, it was a nice touch ( now I know that there is sufficient sauce served on the chicken here anyway). We are so lucky to have this pub as our local, it is on our doorstep and 5 minutes walk, we highly recommend The Tigers Head and we will be returning!

I had heard this pub had changed hands so dropped in as I used to enjoy a pint and the atmosphere, well wow, not sure I’ll go again. Unless you are a family eating you really aren’t welcome, and woe betide anyone who asks why. It was once a great pub that had a lively tap room and a top (best side) that did good food and had a good atmosphere, it’s not anymore. I won’t be surprised if it’s boarded up in a few months once the nosey people like me have been once, that seemed to be the only trade. It’s a real shame. Not much helped by the management who seemed totally clueless about what a pub should be. The staff were nice and seemed like they were trying.

Stopped by with my family last weekend and we had a lovely evening. Food was superb, table service impeccable and staff couldn’t do enough.

I’ve been a regular in the Tigers for both eating and drinking for more years than I can remember. Since new management took over, I have been in twice. Once to eat and once for drinks. Both times I have been bitterly disappointed with the service. It’s very clear they want the classic “pub” atmosphere removing and for it to be turned into a restaurant / gastropub. On both occasions I have visited I found the service to be cold and unwelcoming. I have experienced a number of landlords at the Tigers but never felt the staff to be so rude I’m also concerned to read reports on social media that the back bar has been closed and locals have been “barred” for supposedly writing Tripadvisor reviews. Is this really the right way to respond to criticism from your community? I have never drank in the back bar but when the folks who normally frequent it have been up in the top bar I have always found them to be pleasant and an asset to the atmosphere and culture of the pub Afraid I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Oh dear, oh dear.. we’re off to a great start.. not!! Having taken over the Tigers Head since less than a month, the new landlady has succesfully managed to upset the locals! Saddened and shocked to hear the farming community have been banned, lets hope you never need help removing a tree or clearing snow/water because these lads would of been first in line to help you with their tractors! The landlady is plain rude, however staff are much more polite. It is rather expensive in there now. I paid £3.20 for half a pint of pepsi last week. What a disaster, cheers for turning what was once a thriving country pub into a dump.

What amazing place to eat. The staff couldn't have been more attentive. The food was excellent, freshly cooked.

My family all agreed that the friendly staff and their service were fab! To top it off the food was really good too. Would definitely visit again.

Had a lovely evening meal chosen from the new trial menu. Great welcome when we arrived and super service throughout. Food was delicious - I can particularly recommend the Suffolk smoked haddock and cheese starter - very tasty. Lovely atmosphere, lots of local characters, some very gentle live music and dog friendly throughout - we'll be back.

I have been a regular visitor at this pub for several years and enjoyed catching up with the other locals. Since the new management have taken over they have been rude, unaccommodating and inhospitable. Unfortunately they have refused to serve several of the locals with no explanation as to why, meaning the pub no longer has the same atmosphere it used to. Such a shame to see our pub decline like this.
