Diners in Bodmin

“Not sure what happened during the visits of previous recent reviewers, but ours was very enjoyable. For reference, we went on a Friday lunchtime.Menu was limited but that's often a good sign, especially for a restaurant which has recently undergone a rebranding. We ordered the beef pie, the chicken salad and the ploughman's. Portion sizes were certainly appropriate for the price considering it is a tourist attraction and it all tasted lovely. The food even came in prison-style trays which was a nice nod to history!Service was faultless; a highlight. Both our servers were welcoming, friendly and attentive. Speed of service was ideal as well. The setting of the restaurant is a nice blend of the contemporary whilst still incorporating elements of its past.I would highly recommend eating here if you are in the Bodmin area. Empty trays all round!”
