Bedroom as described so no surprises. Showers were lovely. On the outskirts of Bodmin so a little bit of of walk into town but not ridiculous.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!! Premier Inn should be ashamed. We checked into the hotel and were assigned room 28. When we went up to the room we were hit with a really strong smell of cannabis. We went straight back down to reception and explained that the room was unacceptable to stay in. The reception lady went straight upstairs and came down and said she couldn't believe that the cleaners hadn't picked up on the smell of cannabis in this room. She opened all the windows and put an air purifier in there, but said she didn't think we should stay in there as the small would be in all the soft furnishings and carpet. She told us she would look for other rooms. The hotel was fully booked that evening and they only had a few rooms left to check. She rang her manager who said we could be transferred to another Premier Inn in the hotel. She looked on the system for hotels in the area - they were fully booked. She said she had no options for us and that the only thing we could do is try booking into another hotel. We booked into a more expensive hotel in the area which they are refusing the cover the costs of. What's more, when we rang to try and get a refund for the room we were kept waiting and ended up with a £27 phone bill on their chargeable number. Again, they have not refunded this. They have a good night guarantee - and they have absolutely not succeeded here

I’m not really sure what to say here, but we arrived to stay on a standard visit which we do at least once a month. We’ve noticed the standard of the hotel has been getting worse over the years. The factory for the company you work for is Next Door so we regularly have lots of staff staying there .On this occasion, the room that myself and my partner are in stank terribly of cannabis . It was so strong we couldn’t stay in there for more than a minute so went back down to reception and informed the reception stuff. She then went to check the room and agreed and actually told us it made her feel dizzy being in there. There were unfortunately no other rooms to swap sent to, so we had to go to another hotel down the road which cost us a fair chunk more money .Before we did this, we were told we would get a full refund .The next morning we went to pick our colleagues up from the hotel. They all did stay there and didn’t have any problems. Only to be informed that they were unable to give us a refund and we had to call a customer line to get it.I was on hold for 45 minutes trying to get this and even this process doesn’t sound that straightforward. What’s more frustrating is the the number that we have to call is charged and I actually spent £12 in extra fees on my mobile bill calling it.Why on earth could the staff not just give us a refund the next morning?I don’t think we’ll be staying there as a company again. This is the equivalent to 40 nights worth of rooms a year. Why make the process so difficult? It looks as though Premier Inn has now been overtaken by travel Lodge which I never thought would happen. We still haven’t got a refund so may update this review at a later date

Typical premier inn with a slightly bigger room than others. If it wasn't for the extremely poor internet connection and the indifferent staff, it would be a typical 4 stars...

Staying at this hotel for the night as picking up my daughter.Booked the meal deal which was very good and excellent value. Staff in restaurant were great very friendly and helpful. Want to give Bella a massive cheer as she made me her first ever Irish coffee and I can truly say it was one of the best I've ever tasted.Rooms: Classic premier inn room

The bed and pillows were rock hard and I didn't sleep at all. They have changed to silent night which is awful compared to the hypnos mattresses. There were greasy head marks on the headboard aswell which was disgusting .The WiFi and phone signal were virtually non existent. Both kept dropping out and WiFi wS not consistent. There are 2 floors but no lift and whilst we were moved from upstairs to the ground floor there was no way of booking disabled or ground floor online. She seemed annoyed I couldn't manage the stairsThe door way to the restaurant was impossible to navigate with my wheel chair, I couldn't get in or out independently there were families sat either side of the door way so I couldn't open the door wide enough to get in without them moving. They were understaffed at breakfast so service was slow and we were sat with all the small kids, we don't have small kids and I am immunocompromised, I wear a mask but was sat amongst coughing, sneezing kids and adults. Somewhere away from that would have been better.Breakfast was greasy, my easy over eggs were hard, the only decent thing was the Sausages but they were also really greasy. Will not be staying here again. Very disappointing an hope this isn't the new standard.
