Just opened bistro evening dinning and they fitted our party in at short notice. We fell on our feet finding this place to eat in November in Bude Delicious menu, lovely staff and great ambience- nothing to fault.

Very helpful, friendly staff. Came across LAB while looking for a hot drink on a cold day. Great atmosphere, good food. Took my disabled, poorly sighted husband & nothing was too much trouble - staff helped him find the loo & made sure he was safe. Great place, good food, great staff! Thank you! Will be visiting again while on holiday.

So glad LAB is doing evening meals again. Set menu was sublime, cooked to perfection, ample portions and excellent VFM, combined with efficient and friendly service. Oh, great playlist too! We’ll be back!

Popped in here after visiting the beach. We saw it on the hill and thought we'd have a lot. It's not easily sign posted. Anyway we had good and the mussels were absolutely brilliant with sea bream and potatoes. A great surprise for a beach bar. Friendly service too.

Really good breakfast. Pretty quick service. Sat outside. Lost one star as it was not a hot plate to keep food warm. Might sound like minor point which it is but like many folk I expect a hot plate. The view outside is very nice.

What a fantastic place to eat, everything is fresh, the staff are lovely, a dog friendly place too!Our one year old enjoyed the scampi, the dogs and the waiter was brilliant with them.Price is reasonable I would say the portions are fantastic and the quality is amazing. The muscles were huge! The brownie dessert was out of this world. Parking is just down the way in the local park, it's about a 5 minute walk if that. Views out to the coast if you dine outside and a lovely comfortable area inside if you do not want to eat outside.If you are in Bude this is one place to not miss!Vegetarian options: There were vegetarian options availableKid-friendliness: The staff were incredibly friendly to our one year old. Nice food and location , great views of the harbour. The specials were fresh tasting, innovative and reasonably priced. Like the use of hazelnuts with halibut and the truffle sauce with chowder. Will give these a go when cooking.
Excellent Beer Battered Cod and Chips, superb batter,crispy, perfectly cooked chips. We ordered two meals, one meal shared would have satisfied the appetite. Quality food in a prime beach front restaurant, could not ask for anything better.

My partner and I stopped for breakfast on a blustery day 18/10/2023. Partner ordered large breakfast, I had smashed avocado and poached eggs. AMAZING. Best breakfast ever, from my partner. Mine was exceptional too, smell, presentation and taste. Not at all what I expected. 10/10. Well done guys!!!! Two very happy customers ???

Simply fantastic! This wasn't a planned visit, we simply stumbled on it one lunch time. It was everything you could want from a Cornish restaurant. There was a great choice on the menu, even for a gluten free person like myself, and a specials board too. There were veggie and vegan options if you were looking for those. I had prawns with chili and garlic, husband had the cold fish platter, they were both stunning, and not measly portions either. Everything was so fresh. I was surprised at how reasonable the pricing was. Two meals cost around £30, compared to the £26 paid for two portions of average fish and chips from a takeaway we'd had the day before. The meals were served quickly and the staff were friendly. The view over the beach was great, watching the waves and surfers as the tide came in. This was our first visit to Bude, but we're going to make the trip back here again soon!

We had battered cod and chips. The chips were nice but the fried cod sodden with oil. Absolutely vile. How this restaurant get rated to highly is beyond my understanding.

We had seen the signs in the car park and thought we would pop in , all seemed very relaxed other than a customers two dogs seemed to bark at everything and everyone, all the staff were young and laid back, we were only the second group in there at first until about 30 people came in for drinks and food , wow did this laid back young folk step up to the mark, we ordered mussels and cheese and bacon chips , not tough to get right I’m guessing but nevertheless they were lovely, we watched as the other 30 meals came out and each and everyone seemed different but looked great and looking at customers faces tasted lovely too, the staff absolutely smashed the service, well done to each and everyone of them, we will be back on our next trip down
