Poughhil Road, Poughill Rd, PoughillWent for a Sunday lunch with my daughter, son-in-law and grandson and have had the best Sunday lunch i have ever had in a public house. I highly reccomended 100%. Definately worth every penny. Staff are friendly and courteous, they don't hover like some places do. Chefs did an amazing job everything was scrumptious, the cauliflower cheese was out of this world good. If you are in the vicinity of this delightful country pub it is worth visiting.XxXxX

6 Morwenna Rd, Budewe visited this morning as it’s our last day of our holiday, i wish we had tried here sooner. the service was amazing we were told there would be a wait for food which isn’t a problem at all, it was very busy so was expected, however the wait time was half of what was advised. when we got our food and drink it was absolutely incredible. 8 of us ordered a english breakfast and a variety of different drinks and wow every single bit of it was incredible. £5 for an english breakfast and for that price i wasn’t expecting the quality and amount of food that we received. i would highly recommend anyone to visit here it’s such a lovely little place and they food and drinks were absolutely wonderful, we will definitely be back on our next holiday and certainly more than the one visit! staff were extremely helpful and welcoming honestly go give this place a try!! you can tell they care about quality and this didn’t go unnoticed.

The doughnut hut
BudeAn excellent little Coffee House. Located just off the main street up an alleyway, this place is a little gem! Wonderful helpful staff, menu small but very good. Budda Bowl recommended if hungry, sausage role was excellent, toberlerone cake very chocalatty). Tea's and Coffees of a high quality. It's not very often I give 5 stars but credit where credit is due, this feedback is well deserved. We'll done to all of you that work there, keep it up!

The Coachman's Bar & Grill
The Falcon Hotel, Breakwater Rd, BudeVisited for Sunday lunch on 14/12/2025. We reserved a table for 2 for 12:00.
On arrival we were greeted by a chap who I believe may be the restaurant manager.
He showed us to a table which was right in front of the entrance to the Coachman’s Bar rather than the entrance to the actual hotel. Noticed all tables had a reserved sign on except for one table of 2 which didn’t, so we asked if we could move as it was away from the entrance.
The chap was quite inflexible saying no, all of the tables were allocated and it would be too much hassle, so we had to sit at the one we’d been shown to.
This was despite the restaurant being empty and only one other table was occupied in the section during our visit, so we were bemused by what he’d said.
We were left to browse the menu and were teetering on leaving as first impressions based on that experience did not make us feel like valued customers.
But then came Sally to take our order, so we mentioned the possibility of moving tables and without hesitation she checked and moved us to the one we’d originally asked for.
We then ordered 2 x Turkey from the menu and the food arrived promptly.
Wow, we’re glad we stayed because the food really was excellent.
And to be fair, the young waiters and waitresses provided excellent service thereafter.
We followed the main course with a Christmas pudding and a sticky toffee sundae.
Again, these were both delicious.
With a bottle of Chardonnay as well, the bill came to around £75 which we didn’t think was too bad at all.
So overall, despite the initial resistance from the restaurant manager, we’re glad we stayed and thanks to Sally who turned the experience around for us.
We’d love to say we’d return but as we were just staying for a couple of nights in Bude, we’re not sure if we’ll be returning.
However, if we happen to be in the town and are after a nice Sunday lunch, we’d love to see Sally again and enjoy another nice meal.
Rating 4 stars for the overall experience with losing a star for the initial interaction on arrival.
But without question, Sally deserves 5 stars for excellent service, thank you Sally.

He wasn’t in the best of moods and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a lovely time and our son was happy. Special shout out to Jackie, thank you! Food & drink were delicious, staff brilliant and views were beautiful! We will definitely be back!

The Breakwater Brasserie at the Falcon
Breakwater Rd, BudeBooked a table with pre ordered menu for 11 for an 80th birthday family meal. Very happy with everything. The menu was the only slight disappointment as there was no chicken option and the Buddha Bowl doesn't say what vegetables but the food was very tasty, children were happy.
The restaurant is very elegant and staff really friendly, helpful and personable. They dealt with the birthday cake presentation for us and the whole restaurant clapped with us. They'd even left a birthday card on the table from the hotel when we arrived!
I would recommend. It's posh and special, without being ridiculously expensive.

7 Lansdown Rd, BudeMy wife and I had our last meal out at the end of a weeks holiday in Bude, both our dishes were excellent in flavour and heat according to the menu. I had the lamb murchi bhuna, there was plenty of lamb. Almost too much for me but i managed it all. The guys were very welcoming. Will be back on our next visit to Bude. Keep up the five star service.

The Weir Bistro

16 The Strand, BudeMy wife and i are down for her birthday and decided to order chinese food. We phoned TIAN DI and ordered our food to be delivered. We were told 20 mins but it arrived in 15 mins. Food was everything we expected and very tasty. The chicken balls were huge
We ordered singapore rice noodles, coconut rice, chicken and pineapple, sweet and sour chicken balls and chicken with hot honey and chilli.
Will definetly be using again next time we are down here.

The Lamb Shank was exceptionally delightful, featuring tender, succulent meat infused with exquisite spices. The service is consistently attentive, courteous, and professional in every respect. Undoubtedly, this is the finest Indian cuisine we have ever tasted. We eagerly anticipate returning soon.

Unit 6d, Kings Hill Industrial Estate, BudeI had to leave the motorbike at the garage at the crack of dawn, fortunately the cafe was open and ready to serve. They cooked me up a cracking breakfast and it gave me a chance to warm up ? I've been before for lunches while visiting the garage. Always friendly, and they have a great selection of food and drinks. Highly recommended!

Incredible. One of the best coffees I've ever had. I don't normally write reviews on here, but I felt compelled to, to try and steer more people away from the awful brown chain water from Costa next door, and into a local shop with brilliant a brilliant barista who makes incredible drinks. Will be coming back.

The Strand, BudePopped in as staying the in hotel next door, proper old school pub, no chain brand nonsense, decent landlord, couldn’t be more helpful, watched the lioness final, sorted us pizza from the restaurant next door, decent priced and tasting beer. Had no issues with kids. Went out of his way to make you feel welcome. Not many pubs like this left.

BudeA cute little beach cafe tucked away in this little, almost, hidden beach area. The cafe staff were friendly. They had some gluten free cake options available so my coeliac partner and I shared a millionaire choco shortbread slice. Delicious! The coffee tasted good, most of our party drinks hot coffee, so it wasn't really an issue for us, but they didn't serve iced coffee when we went- if that's your preference.

Bencoolen Rd, BudeBeen there twice now and each time the food is excellent, yesterday we had Cardoza chicken and I didn't even need a knife to eat it as it was so tender, I would highly recommend this place as the staff are very friendly. Belle Vue Lane, BudeThis bar definitely stands out against the background of the standard pubs in Bude. It has a great cocktail list and they're very reasonably priced. The staff were lovely and bought our drinks to our table and super knowledgeable on their menu when we asked questions. The decor is lovely and they've made a really great use of the space available, and even set up a small outdoor area.
