One of the most inexperienced restaurants I have ever been to . I myself own 2 establishments and I have never seen anything like this. Waitresses take 20 minutes to give you a menu another 10 to take drinks. Never ask you if you want any more drinks, I had to go and ask the bar myself . This place is run by immature girls . All stood in the lobby chatting ? Whilst customers are trying to get their attention to order drinks or food ? . The waitresses friends came in she was laughing and joking with him them ignoring customers. They were laughing about him getting fired the night before ? . Tell me why on earth would me and my business partner want to hear about this . So unprofessional. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT! ( when they actually bothered to ask us what we want ) . Waited ages to take dessert order , they couldn’t wait to get us out . This place is a joke I have been coming here for 4 years and this is the worst year it has fallen apart , no wonder they want to sell . They should have maybe reviewed their front of house staff ? And not just employ family friends and childish girls . Used to be the best place in bude this is now the worst and lots of people say it.

What a place fantastic good quality breakfast and lovely people who are so friendly. Would highly recommend. We had a variety of items from Eggs Royale (one person who had that said it was the best they'd ever had!) To a full English and pancakes and it was very well received with empty plates all round. A great find, we will be back

Most amazing place! We had a great steak burger and prawns and hot wings. The best prawns I've had in years. Recommend the affogato with a shot of Tia Maria to finish off.

We love coming here. The service is always excellent and we are made to feel so welcome, it's laid back and a lovely vibe. Today we came for lunch and the Thai prawn noodle soup was handsome. A firm favourite and I highly recommend

I can't tell you how much I loved this place. The best meal I've had in a LONG time. We had muscles and fries and rack of ribs. The muscles were insane and the sauce was delicious. Fantastic portion sizes. So fresh. The decor was cool and the toilets are fun, check them out! Great sea views!

Hugely disappointing as it was recommended by a nearby hotel. Steak was tough as old boots , mussels, crevettes and chicken wings were all thawed from frozen. Such a shame as staff were lovely though

Had 2 hanging kebabs and some sides. All very nice! Dog friendly too which always helps! Will be back when we next make the trip down from Newcastle! You must try the Mac and cheese :)

WORST customer service ever!!! Having eaten here several times previously whilst on holiday in Bude, we were so sorry to see what has happened to The Deck. It used to be such a warm, friendly restaurant with great food and a lovely relaxed atmosphere - not any more….we didn’t even stay for the food! The lady serving us was so unbelievably RUDE….strutting around with what I can only describe as an absolute face on her and an enormous chip on her shoulder…..not exactly conducive to a happy dining experience - so much so, we decided to leave. The couple on the next table commented that they didn’t blame us - their food had just arrived and they were clearly unimpressed. The waitress appeared to find it funny when we said we wouldn’t be staying….glad something actually made her smile! Really bizarre! SUCH a shame - The Deck is certainly one to avoid in future!
I cannot recommend this venue. The staff are half soaked and not very experienced or trained well. The food seems to be smothered in chillies?! Does this make a dish “worldwide?”. The menu choice was basic and poor. I was unimpressed with my meal as was my wife and her mother. All in all I would avoid this place

Was looking forward to our meal, but we were very disappointed. Who puts loads of chillies in fish chips and peas 2 pieces of battered fish not much bigger than a couple of fish fingers. Fish skewers calamari was so tough even our dog wouldn't eat it, the fish was good , don't think we'll be back.

Visited for a drink, sat outside and the sun started to shine. We decided to eat here and was so glad we did. I ordered the Thai mussels and they were huge mussels and a mammoth size portion. They tasted so good, the best I’ve had in years. My wife had the ribs, she loved them but they were massive. They fell of the bone. We will definitely be visiting again soon.
