One of the best Sunday roasts I've ever had! Lovely pub, good service from cheerful helpful staff & dog friendly too. I wish it was my local!

My wife and I went for Sunday lunch at the Preston gate, and we were welcomed by a great team there. We had a great Sunday lunch, which was very generous helping, and the meat was a lot and tender. Highly recommended that that place will be going back

Loved this pub! Food was super delicious (I recommend the chicken Parmasan!) Probably the best pub food I’ve had in a very long time! Service was also amazing- very smiley waitresses!

The young lady behind the bar was very friendly and attentive. We arrived on fish Friday. I ordered the small haddock, chips and garden peas plus tartar sauce. Great portion for me. Good value at £6.50. The filter coffee was just as I like it. Definitely recommend this pub and food. Nice ambience. Clean and tidy.

Attentive service and willing to oblige. Food very good. Not a massive choice particularly starters. Overall a pleasant experience. Access could be improved for disabled.

Just had the steaks excellent well cooked to our liking. The peppercorn sauce very nice.Staying at Wooda site and walked down from there only a 8 minute walk well worth it.The staff were lovely and the entertainment was great thank you.

Really really nice local friendly pub. Good lively atmosphere, stunning flavoursome food and friendly staff. I had the Chicken Breast with Parmesan and Paprika crumb and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in some months!

Went for a Carvery with those Wintery days upon us. Swimming in salty gravy (this has been on a previous review) Veg could have been better smaller crisper Yorkshire Puddings. Ice Cream served in a tea cup/saucer?? Have been a few times before and enjoyed-today maybe an off day.

Best steak of ever had.Perfectly cooked and the sause was amazing.Quite a few sauces to choose from.With the beer there's 6 cask ales to choose from, plus there own conditioned ale.Definitely worth a visitSteak TuesdayWill definitely need to book up to avoid disappointment

We arrived to a very busy pub, in the early evening, requesting a table for two (and a dog) and they managed to squeeze us in. I had the pan seared chicken breast and I have to say, it's one of the nicest chicken meals I have eaten. Great service; lovely staff. Great atmosphere and very dog friendly. Thank you :)
