We had our Christmas do here last Friday and it was superb! We ate in the restaurant where both fires were going, which made it warm and cosy. There were 9 of us - a mix of meat eaters and vegetarians and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Their take on a nut roast was so much more than a nut roast I’ve ever tasted, so delicious. There was a plentiful selection of vegetables and the leeks in cheese sauce just divine. For dessert Those that had the vegan orange and chocolate sponge were delighted, very light sponge, lovely flavour, with a rich dark chocolate (just to die for). The food was top, top quality and piping hot. The rest of the pub was buzzing too, which is always great to see. Well done to everyone at the Tree Inn!Food & drinks: Great selection of drinks and just the best food.

Had a great Sunday roast here today. Portions were very generous and the food was all cooked to perfection. Highly recommend and excellent value. Hope to be back very soon.

Saw this advertised on Facebook and decided to book a table . We arrived earlier than booked but we’re greeted very well and we’re free to chose our table. Lovely food and at a good price

Found this amazing, quirky pub by chance. Beautiful soundings, stone throw from Bude. We were made very welcome and will definitely be back, wish we could of stayed longer. Dating back to the 13th century and full of history, definitely the oldest by far where we’ve stayed. Loved it!!!!

My husband and i was planning on staying for 1 night and i rung to ask if they would be able to accommodate a late check in. They said that there would be someone there until 9pm. I explained that it may be as late as 11pm. He told me that after working all weekend the staff could bearly stay awake beyound 10pm. He wasnt showing any interest to help me. He then said that he was working and to book on line. I explained that i didnt want to book if a late check in wasnt available. He then said he had customers and that he had to go. VERY RUDE AND OBVIOUSLY DIDNT WANT MY BUSINESS. HE THEN HUNG UP!

I had a wonderful experience at The Tree Inn. Simon was so accommodating for me as my flights were cancelled at first and I was a few days late getting in to the UK and then to my room. I was out all day so was really only there to sleep and shower. There is a lively group working in the pub and I was made to feel very welcome! Good location, good people, and I'd absolutely stay here again!

Booked via buyagift for a one night stay. On arrival the gentleman was very friendly. Showed us to our room . Room very clean but very basic. Went to the bar to have a drink . Had a gin & lemonade . Lemonade was very flat so spoilt the drink. Bed was comfortable. Shower was good but the shower enclosure wasn't clean. Lots of damp in there. Just not very inviting. Went to breakfast kitchen wasn't very clean . Went there about 8.30 no fresh bread. Not enough for two of us to have toast. Doesn't state in website you have to cook your own breakfast. There was fruit but the bananas were gone over. There was cereal. Wouldn't have wanted to cook in the kitchen. No toilet paper in the toilets. Pretty poor for first thing in the morning.

Myself and may partner stayed on 21st July 2023 for one night in Room 3. What an amazing place so comfortable very clean the best nights sleep we had in ages. So much so we would love to know what make of mattress was on the bed. We were only booked in for one night wishing it was for so much longer. The blonde gentleman behind the bar, sadly we didn't catch his name, was fantastic and such an asset to your team. In the evening we had the pleasure of a live band who were wonderful. We cant wait to return and will be telling family and friends of our experience.

4.5 stars overall, very good. Positives: Very quaint ancient country Inn. Helpful when arrived, showed us around the rooms, etc. Spoke twice on the phone before the visit, again helpful. We booked all rooms for 1 night. Outdoor seating, so as nice weather, we had a drink outdoors as well in the courtyard. Internet in all rooms was ok (and I had EE signal as well in most places). To let you know: No restaurant, could use Breakfast room and Kitchen though (upstairs, so does not disturb the pub), which has oven. hob, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer. Car Parking is free, but is a few min walk. All rooms upstairs, so not ok for disabled. Being an old building, the floors are uneven and a few steps up, then down etc. Sinks in each room, separate bath/shower/Toilet. Beds are resonable, clean etc. The builing is very old, but clean, and tidy. However, do not expect a posh hotel, this is a country Inn. Quite a way to walk to Bude/Beaches, but not far at all in the car (we had cars, so no issues for us). Negatives (although generally only minor issues): No TV in the rooms. I've not been at an Inn, Hotel etc without a TV, ever, so that is a first. Although, did not need a TV this time, sometimes it is needed on a wet rainy day if you cannot go out. As some lead water pipes, a water filter for drinking water would be nice. Take a 4 way lead with you, as you may need more power sockets in the room, especially if you have a number of gadgets, a fan, then put the kettle on (some sockets did have USB outlets though, so that was good). Some of the key locks on the room doors need some fixing, as they wobble, as does the bolt on the shower door. Overall, very happy, would stay again. Hopefully, the restaurant reopens as well one day, the room was lovely, just empty (we knew no meals as shown on their website, other booking Companies, perhaps need updating). We all helped with a Charity Skinny Dip in Bude for Mind (mental health charity) - so cannot add photos here unfortunately!
