We went for a birthday. I believe they had serverly overbooked as it was manic in there and was little room to move around if you was to get up. The waitress' seemed rushed off their feet and it sounded like there should've been 2 more chefs. The food was a decent quality though.

Excellent restaurant menu delivered promptly by well trained attentive staff. The first course of home made lobster bisque was particularly impressive. Very pleasant evening indeed. We also enjoyed the wine and breakfast. The bedroom accommodation was however on a different level and rather disappointing with a rather antiquated bathroom.

We love in Helston , but had never been to Trengilly Wartha Inn previously (our friends Mel & Chris had). What a fantastic pub!! Food was fantastic (2xpie 1xsteak 1xscampi and all had puddings, the Bailey's cheesecake was delicious). Staff were also brilliant. We even got to meet the pub dog noodles. We'll be back. Loved the smell of the wood burner , the fact there was no TV or music. Just happy punters chatting and laughter. Could well be our new favourite, Thank you from Mark Dee , Mel and Chris ??.

We were staying nearby so had an earlyish Dinner....loved the decor and friendly welcome. Great atmosphere . The food was excellent. Very different from when I lived nearby 52 years ago (it was a bit more like a Country Club back then) !!!! The current owners have really done a great job and we will definitely return when we are back in the area.

We ate here twice while staying in Mawnan Smith as far nicer than our hotel. It is a proper country pub, plenty of atmosphere, exceptionally friendly staff and a fantastic well priced menu of freshly cooked local ingredients. We had the roast on Sunday which came with such a good selection of vegetables not overcooked, the meat my husband had was tender and flavoursome, I had the nut roast which again was full of flavour and texture. On our 2nd visit I had the pumpkin soup, husband had pigeon breast starter which he'd never had before and enjoyed, I then had sole which was 3 fillets cooked perfectly and my husband had the squid ink pasta. It is so nice when you find a hidden gem like this and we look forward to definitely returning when down this part of Cornwall again.

The service and food are first class, an amazing choice on the menu. I had a Thai fusion duck salad and red curry and would recommend it

On the way home from the seal sanctuary can across this gem. Lovely sunny outside beer garden / area. We only stayed for a quick pint but the food looked and smelt amazing. We will be going back.

Very warm and friendly place to stay. The restaurant offers lovely food and wide range of beers, wines and spirits. We stayed two nights, we’re looked after we’ll and I recommend the breakfast-wonderful. Set in idiotic setting, with easy reach to Falmouth and the Lizard peninsula. Will go back again.
