Came here with my partner on the 18/1/24. What a lovely evening. With brilliant service, and amazing food! Can not fault at all.

Such a nice pub with friendly staff and great food. Nice walk if you’re staying in Fowey. Definitely worth a visit. Dogs welcome too !

Quaint, friendly local pub with the classics you'd expect. Expansive menu and lots of specials and the likes of a Wednesday curry night and pizzas in the evening as well as the menus you can find online. Chicken balti curry, chicken and pancetta pie (great pastry!), scampi & chips and crispy chicken wings and cheesy chips all thoroughly enjoyed. Vegan treacle tart and Christmas pudding with brandy custard also super tasty. Outside area with the river view looks lovely and is big for the warmer months. Super convenient if you book a holiday rental in Golant and recommend a visit if you are staying nearby in Fowey etc. Woodland walk available up behind the houses too. Dogs allowed in the bar area to the left.Vegetarian options: Decent amounts of veggie and vegan options like a pie, curry, pizzas and toppings for jacket potatoesParking: There is a pay and display car park further down from the pub and a few spaces at the pub if you are eating/drinking there and a couple of spaces on the river opposite the pub but could be the chance of the water rising

Great little, proper old pub. The service was great and we were made to feel very welcome. The food was really good. It was a wet and windy Thursday evening so quite quiet but those who were there had a great time. It's in a lovely spot on the River Fowey (Foy for non-locals) so when it's daytime, it's got quite a view also. Thank you.

We spent three nights in Golant, an idyllic Cornish village, right on the estuary, we ate there every day and we were never disappointed. The fish on Friday was fresh, chips delicious and homemade tartar sauce with mushy peas for £12, outstanding, the beer and choices of gin good too.The second evening it was deep fried squid followed by pies that were full and rich and no soggy bottom! Sunday lunch was the highlight though: rump of lamb, perfectly pink for my wife and a trio of meats for me, each cooked as I would want them with crispy potatoes, generous veg and roats potatoes, the ginger pudding almost finished us off! You can tell the chef cares and cooks to impress. So the food and drink were great but it is actually the atmosphere, the locals (who know they have a good thing and support it) and the quick and friendly service overseen by Nick and his parents who are stars. It is really lovely here, almost like being on the set of a film, hospitable, welcoming and warm in every sense.Highly recommended. Thank you Nick and staff.

We were staying just up the road from The Fisherman’s Arms, and were very pleasantly surprised with this place. Everything was just perfect, the staff were very friendly, we were made to feel very welcome, even getting recommendations on places to visit on our trip (our golden retriever Lilly also got a lot of attention and treats!). Food was absolutely top notch, we had the prawn special, which were fresh and tasty, followed by a very well stocked fish pie and a delicious chicken special. Excellent selection of beers on tap too!

I can highly recommend The Fisherman’s Arms in Golant. The food is great and very good value for money. The staff could not be friendlier and do their utmost to make sure that you have everything that you need. I would definitely advise to book a table in advance as whilst it is the only pub in this small village it gets extremely busy which is a testament to how good it is.

Found on TripAdvisor and can honestly say this is the best roast beef Sunday lunch I've had in years in a pub. It was absolutely beautifully cooked and the accompanying veg and potatoes were all spot on. The service and welcoming was second to none.and we will most certainly be returning when next on holiday in Cornwall.

We went to the Fisherman's Arms on Sunday 8th and then again on Thursday 12th of October with our 3 dogs. The first time we visited the atmosphere was amazing. The food was incredible. The nut roast was made to perfection. My wife had the pork and said it was very well cooked. Our puddings were very good. I had the brownie which was lovely and gooey in the middle. It was the perfect size. My wife had the waffle which was very good. The second time we visited was for our last night in Cornwall. I had pizza with cheesy garlic ciabatta which was very good. And my fine had the ham egg and chips. We had pudding which consisted of waffle again and I had the vegan chocolate tart which was the right level of chocolatyness. In both visits the staff were very friendly and intentive. They enjoyed giving the dogs treats and made us feel welcome. I would definitely visit again when we come back to Cornwall in the future.
