Spent a lovely night at The Haveners this week - room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious (loved the very hot plate!), staff very friendly and service very good. Thank you Lee, J.Lo and everyone.

Wow! My daughter and I went for dinner tonight and it was amazing. Lovely venue, great views, the service was spot on and the food was incredible. We had the Fowey river mussels special and children's burger and it was delicious. Well done to the Haveners team!

Stopped here for lunch. Very good food and nice surroundings, we sat by the window looking out at the river. Great staff. Will eat here again.

Great spot to stop on a wet and windy Boxing Day after a walk down to Readymoney Cove and sip a couple of mulled ciders! Friendly and prompt service and nice clean washroom facilities. The location at the quayside is great in winter or summer!

Great atmosphere and friendly staff… and dogs are welcome too. The menu contained a nice freshly cooked gluten free option on the fish & chips, (heaven to a coeliac like myself). The batter was light & fresh, and the fish and the accompanying chunky chips & peas were excellent… Nice treat to stumble upon visiting Fowey today… Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

I had booked a while ago, to have Christmas lunch with my granddaughter at Havener's. First time I have not done the 'at home' thing, so wasn't sure how it would be. I needn't have worried, we were made so welcome. The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were very attentive and friendly, without being annoying. A glass of bubbles on arrival, a delicious five course traditional Christmas lunch with an amazing selection of vegetables. After coffee and truffles, I staggered home with my dessert (which I couldn't fit in) bowl to be returned. Thank you, Lee, and your really superb staff.

Most enjoyable lunch. My husband's beer was nearing the end of the barrel and it was replaced without question. He had a roast meal and I had the baked camembert. Food and service were really excellent. Lee has really turned this restaurant round - we appreciate he had challenges when he first took over, but it is now a brilliant place to eat and the ambience is second to none in Fowey.

We walked into Haveners yesterday on my birthday on a busy Saturday afternoon and was welcomed by Lee who couldn't have been more accommodating. 5 of us and our spaniel elsie were reassured that we could have a table for lunch even though we hadn't booked. It was at a lovely relaxed family atmosphere, great food at very reasonable prices and good portion sizes. Attentive staff, Kat especially was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We only live in Polperro and have been to Haveners before but feel lucky to just walk in on a busy day and be so well looked after. Will be recommending and we will back! I cannot find enough good words to say how special our experience was at Havener’s today. We had not booked, we are visiting the area for Christmas and from the moment we walked through the door we were made welcome and taken care of. The location is fantastic, the choice and quality of food was great but over and above all of that the staff are just brilliant. What a team of lovely people they get the hospitality business spot on and if you live nearby you are very fortunate indeed. Thanks to all concerned we are glad we came by today.

Visited here in early December with my family and I have to say, everything from start to finish was absolutely amazing. We were greeted by warm staff members from the off, looked after brilliantly throughout our meal and all of us enjoyed everything we ate and drank. The mushroom risotto was incredible! Special mention to the staff because nothing was too much trouble and everyone we spoke to was really friendly. All in all, we really enjoyed our visit and can’t wait to come back in the New Year.

Popped into Havener’s whilst visiting Fowey for the Christmas market. Had a really lovely lunch and have to say that the staff, though busy, were super, very friendly and helpful. The menu had ample choices, I had fish and chips, which were beautifully presented and very tasty. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon.

We booked for a couple of nights for my wife’s birthday! On arrival we were met by the chap in the bar who was extremely helpful and friendly! The room was clean and very comfortable with everything we needed! We had a lovely evening meal in the restaurant which was lovely, again, the waitress was lovely. Breakfast was equally as good, we both opted for the full English which was a great start to the day! The lovely waitress (Jenny) was welcoming and friendly. Overall, a lovely stay for a December break! We’ll be back
