Fantastic tasting food and friendly helpful staff. All worked hard to cater to our large family of over 20 with different dietary needs and some crazy noisy family members.Food was great, left us feeling stuffed with generous portion sizes at a very reasonable price.Thank you so much for a lovely afternoon.Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian starters and sides such as soup of the day and mushroom and spinach on sour dough. Starter portions generous enough to almost make a full main meal.Parking: There is a reasonable sized car park. We managed to fill it to the brim so large parties may have to plan ahead if it is going to be busy. In the late afternoon/evening there were lots of empty spaces.

I have visited the Rifle a number of times as it is my local pub. Each time visiting has been a wonderful experience. The service is friendly and efficient, we have arrived today at opening without booking and by 12:06 (opening 12) we have a table suitable for our dog, drinks ordered and delivered and our food ordered. The food is exceptional, great portions and delicious, fresh and local produce. I feel very grateful to have this pub on my doorstep.

A Christmas evening meal which was not very good. Blue cheese starter was awful. Sprouts rock hard and the chard was hard and tasteless. Christmas pud was OK but in general it was not great and we wouldn't go back.
