Lovely pub, separate drinking and dining areas. Food, all homemade and made well. Flavoured beautifully. My partner and I had calamari (flavoursome tasting great homemade garlic mayo), venison sliders (not too gamey, full of flavour), wood pigeon brucshetta(too gamey for me, partner enjoyed), crispy chicken poppers (incredibly tasty, succulent chicken in a smack your knee, full of flavour homemade sauce). Booked as recommended by a friend, a wonderful Sunday Lunch was had by all. Freshly cooked food , the vegetable selection was superb as was the bread and butter pudding. Staff all welcoming, all in all a great find and will definitely return in the near future.
Despite it being quite close (walking distance) from our house for various reasons we hadn't been in the Rifle for quite some time. Seeing that one of our favourite local bands were playing there we decided to make an evening of it an booked a table for dinner. The staff were friendly and efficient.
