Well !!! what can we say … what a lovely hidden gem .. owners very friendly.. daughter and boyfriend had a fabulous Sunday roast ( kind of the pub to allow them to eat as it was after the pub’s lunch finish time slot, looked fantastic)?I had the mini trio desserts with espresso.. ( compliments to the chef) it is one of the most lovely puddings I’ve ever had in my life ( and I’m an old gal !! ???) , person that served us was so friendly which added to the experience , very dog friendly pub too.. locals very chatty and friendly …definitely recommend this establishment.. give it a try .. we’ll be back … PS Thank you from our dog for her treats ? shame we don’t live more close.. would be a regular visitor ?… with many thanks and much appreciation. ?18/5/2023 … sadly closed at the mo .. hope it reopens soon ?

This is one of our favourite local pubs for a drink - decent ales on tap, a friendly atmosphere, and stunning views over the Tamar Valley. We've been here 3 times to eat. Firstly for Sunday lunch. Huge portions (even a small portion), generally good food though not a fan of their giant roast potatoes. Good service. Weekday lunches... We love the food, but both times we were overcharged. The first time, I brought it to the barman's attention and he said the price was correct. It was only when I pushed for a receipt and a copy of the menu that he accepted the issue and said there was a mistake on the menu, and he refunded the extra. The second time it happened we were in a rush and I didn't realise until after we had left. I don't know if it's an issue with their till or menu (there was a couple of months between our visits so it wasn't rectified), or whether they're adding a service charge. Either way, it has left a slightly uncomfortable feeling, even though it feels petty over a matter of a few quid. We'd go there again (and have been in since for drinks), but with a close eye on the final bill. Shame, as we love the place and it's definitely worth a visit.

Whilst holidaying in Cornwall we had the good fortune to go to the white hart pub.Wednesday 28th September.Didnt book, just walked in on the off chance. We couldn't believe how busy it was for a mid week.I asked the waitress if they where doing food? She told me that the chef had called in sick and she would ask the landlady who was cooking if she could.Luckily she came back and said yes."Its going to be a bit of a wait but yes."I come from a little village in East Sussex called Rotherfield, when i was young the local pub, The George was the focal point of the village.Im not kidding, it was like being back there in The White Hart. The landlord Ian was so friendly, we where chatting with the locals like we where one of them. The food was delicious, a log fire blasting. All I can say is I wish I lived there!!It's like stepping back in time where people go out and socialise.Well done Ian and Katy you've cracked it.All the best Dave the plasterer.

Went for Sunday lunch. Only one other couple. Roast beef like leather. We were here a year ago and the place was packed. What a shame.

Lovely pub, great pint, beautiful views and they had Adam's Open Mic, so enjoyed the music too. What more could you want!

Where do we begin with our praise for what Ian, Katy & their staff are doing with this beautiful, rural pub. Having found ourselves staying in Chilsworthy by accident it ended up being the best thing that had happened. Situated in the heart of the village, what these fantastic people are doing for their community deserves more acclaim than I can write here.We turned up with our son, Josh... his girlfriend Ella... our two dogs, and didn't know a soul. We were welcomed with open arms and chatted to as if we'd been locals for years. Ian & Katy are your perfect hosts, and despite being hit with every hurdle possible during the last few years, have 100% put their lives up for their village. The pub is beautiful, the views stunning, atmosphere incredible.... and after one week we leave with the hosts now friends.A must visit to anyone coming down this way. You will not be disappointed.Darren & Rachael

Nice old pub, very good food and very friendly helpful staff. Went twice, so didn’t starter second time as main meal filled us. Limited menu but what is on the menu was very nice. Kids meals were great and large so the girls didn’t get through all of theirs. Great view of valley, so rear outside balcony recommended.
