Attended tonight with friends and the Yorkshire puddings on the carvery were mouldy. When we told the waitress, she ran off to the kitchen to tell the chef, when she came back I asked if she wanted to take the plate to show the chef and she stated that they had checked the ones in in the kitchen and they were the same aka mouldy. There had been at least 10-15 served ahead of us at the carvery before us and I can only hope they didn't eat the Yorkshire puddings!

Just had a great sunday lunch at there carvery. 3 different sizes plus childs portions available. Children and dog friendly Exellent service at a family run business great to see .

When they get bad reviews they seem to remove them so don't be fooled I've left a bad review and it seems to keep disappearing not good at all like someone else has commented wonder why we could get a table here when every where else was fully

Been here a few times, amd it's never really impreased, however!! All seems to have changed fantastic food, even better carvery on Sundays, and wow what a meal, coupled with a great selection of local beers ciders too, excellent!

Whenever we visit Cornwall we always make sure to drop in for Sunday lunch at Smugglers Inn! We were down for two weeks recently and both Sundays enjoyed a delicious carvery with our family. The food was absolutely faultless! Meat cooked to perfection and the best roasties and stuffing! A really good selection of veggies including my ultimate favourite - swede mash! We particularly like that you can choose the size of the carvery you want and the prices are very reasonable. Not only is the food amazing but we also felt so welcomed by all of the staff! The chef is an absolute joy to talk to and gives plenty of attention to our young children. They both know her by name and enjoy a catch up when we visit. Also the younger staff that take the orders and serve drinks etc were a real pleasure to talk to making the whole experience a delight! We already can’t wait for our next visit! If you want a traditional style, friendly pub then Smugglers Inn is definitely worth a visit!

Wouldn't recommend the only good thing was the play bit out side for the kids very very over priced
Had a carvery here end of July and for the money we were dissapointed it wasnt the best quality also the kids carvery is a side plate! So we had to give them food off ours barely room for meat and a yorkshire let alone roast potatoes. Landlady is very warm and welcoming but need a new chef and people would come from all around as there isn't much choice in the area.

To be fair the staff were lovely and the meat was satisfactory, however the rest of the veg was luke warm at best. The cauliflower cheese and stuffing was dried up and the gravy was very watery. Also the roast potoes were the worst I have ever had at a carvery. They were just so big and dry they needed to be chopped in to much smaller pieces so they can bee nice and crispy. Off day perhaps??

We have good friends staying with us and they have taken us out to lunch. My husband and I have eaten here before, so we recommended it. The food was delicious, the beef was cooked to perfection, plenty of vegetables on offer too. The amount of meat on the standard roast was phenomenal. Certainly value for money and extremely tasty. Despite very generous standard portions we all managed a pudding. They were delicious and well presented. Nicola, Skye and Jacob were very attentive and looked after us well. All in all a brilliant place to have lunch with fantastic service. No complaints from us. Thank you team Smugglers Inn.
