Popped down to Lewys on the last night of a holiday at nearby Toms Holidays/Riviere Towans caravan park, after reading many favourable reviews. Fish n chips n curry sauce, definitely didn't disappoint - all great tasting and nice crisp batter. A great choice for chippy tea if you're staying at any of the nearby holiday parks, street parking wasn't a problem and if you're not lucky enough to park bang next to Lewys, the Asda car park is a short enough walk.
It's always a bit of a gamble finding a decent fish and chip shop in a strange town, but we were very pleased with Lewy's in Hayle. Friendly welcome and lovely cod and chips at reasonable price. Batter was nice and crisp with a generous portion of chips. Came boxed and offered forks and serviettes, ideal for eating in the car.

Came here for the first time last week. Had the hake and chips. The fish was cooked nicely, but the batter was quite greasy. Chips were a standard affair, and nothing special.It was worth the price paid though, and wouldn't discount the place again for a chippy tea.
