We had heard great things about this place but after growing up in pubs and restaurants and then being in business for myself untill I moved to Cornwall in 2012 where I then managed 2 restaurants in padstow my expectations are always really high and our afternoon here exceeded my wildest expectations, from the moment we arrived till we left the staff were amazing, the one that really stood out for me was Elin she couldn't do enough to make our experience perfect but all the staff went above and beyond and the food was to die for and the deserts were heavenly. I live and and work in padstow and I can say hand on heart that after eating many times at Rick Steins places they have nothing on Trevakis and although its an hour from where I live I will be back regularly. Thankyou to all the staff for the best meal I've ever had x x ❤ A new star needs adding to the 5 star rating just for trevaskis farm Daniel Slater

Table of 5 + high chair. 1st January 2024 We were greeted with smiles and a big welcome. Taken to our table , asked if we wanted drinks and then gave us plenty of time to look at menu. I chose the Turkey dinner with extra slice of beef. Food was tremendous (see pic) I even had a pot of horseradish and Cranberry. It was hot , fresh and I can honestly say really lovely. Considering we had been recommended to them by Treggena Castle Hotel we didn’t know what to expect coming from the Midlands. Our server was called Paige. She was so lovely too and engaged with us all and smiled (which is rare these days). As I am in the service industry myself I could tell that she is a natural and I would like her to be commended please for being pleasant, professional and helpful. She came back during service and asked if everything was alright with the meals. Again this shows us that you care. Summing up: I can honestly say it was a pleasure to eat here and be served by the most wonderful staff who are a credit to Trvaskis Farm. The choice of food by the way i feel is awesome and the deserts to die for. If you can save enough room. 10/10

A fantastic evening, we were a large group of over 20 people, and nothing was too much trouble. The service was excellent, the staff attentive and polite no matter what we asked for. The Cornwall Karate club will be back next year.

Disappointed as a local I had been there many times but yesterday evening was quite disorganized with table service most meals were served with side veg on a separate plate brought much later and I ended up with none of it as it was just dropped in no order of anyone's meal, and no serving spoons so everyone was taking with their own cutlery so I did not feel like doing the same, so I had half a main course we asked 3 staff for table water which took so long. And the staff seemed to run out of plates etc as desserts were on plates they said "sorry wrong plate" so why no bowls ? This is not the usual service from Trevaskis ..I left feeling that I did not have what I ordered so paying for it was a let down.

Visited Trevaskis today for Sunday lunch, and we both had the roast beef. We were seated quickly upon arrival, in the conservatory. The restaurant was busy and buzzy, with many tables enjoying the four course Christmas menu. We ordered roast beef for two, and it was brought to us within 10 minutes. The waiting staff were young, friendly, and did a great job. We enjoyed our visit and our food. Can’t help but chuckle at some of the grumpy reviews on here ?

I was left crestfallen by the appalling customer service here at Trevaskis Farm restaurant. Our order was incorrect and drinks were forgotten about and not brought. The staff looked down in the dumps and were unapologetic over mistakes made, I can only assume the problems come from higher up. When staff are not treated well, they don't behave well. The toilets were sullied and befouled and the soap dispensers were sticky and moldy looking. The corners of the toilets were filthy, in fact, the pigs wallowing in the mud outside kept a cleaner environment than here in the restaurant. We only came here for a treat, but we left feeling ripped off and insulted. There are many great restaurants in the area where you can enjoy good food and service, don't bother going to Trevaskis Restaurant, they will ruin your dining experience. Avoid.

Unfortunately after another fantastic meal the Manager said we were dishonest customers because the waitress had given us Coffee and Fudge on the house. It turned out to be part of the Christmas set menu and a mistake by her staff, as a result she wanted us to pay for said items or return them, Unfortunately the coffee was a little difficult to return however she gladly took the fudge back to re-distribute to another customer. BUT REFUSED TO SIMPLY APOLOGISE FOR THE MISTAKE AND THANK US FOR OUR CUSTOM (CIrca £300) she the consistently argued in front of staff and customers of our dishonest actions. No doubt she will probably dock it out of the lovely waitresses pay!!!! Sad to say despite eating 2/3 times a year we won’t be going back.

Trevaskis Farm is a working farm in Hayle, Cornwall, with a farm shop selling fresh vegetables, spices, drinks, beers, cheese, etc. along with an onsite fresh meat and fish counter and a very popular restaurant. We visited the restaurant for coffee and cake, and the cake and desserts variety was fantastic (see photos). The portion sizes were also very generous (you could choose between the adult or child's portion, and I thought the child's portion was VERY generous)! I was reliably informed that if I was unable to finish my dessert, I could take the rest home.Dietary restrictions: We only looked at the Desserts range, but there were plenty of options for those who are gluten-free, or have non-dairy needs. Every dessert has a key of the various dietary exclusions it is suitable for.Parking: The parking is located to one side of the farm shop and restaurant, with additional overflow parking spaces available.Wheelchair accessibility: The farm shop and restaurant are accessible via a wheelchair-friendly ramp from the car park, with designated disabled parking available, too.

Decided to get a hot drink after going to the shop. 5.30pm, very quiet and yet waiting staff made me feel like I wasn’t welcome. It’s not hard - smile, take order, smile again when a customer pays. You might even get a tip!

I used to live in Cornwall 20 years ago and went to this restaurant when two sisters did the cooking, and there was one prefab building we all sat in, the food was amazing and plentiful in those days, before booking a return I read on the website that they say they are well known for the large potions and hearty meals, I truly hoped little had changed, sadly everything has changed, the food was ok but not great, even though I ordered a large it wasn't any bigger than any other Sunday lunch I have bought in the past and a fair bit smaller than some, our waitress was a very pleasant young lady, but the waiter who took the payment was more interested in explaining that a service charge hadn't been added to the bill, and asked if i would like him to add that ( very pushy and unprofessional) I had already booked another table for the following week to take my daughter, but after this and the lack luster meal I decided to go elsewhere and canceled

We went for the xmas set dinner which was 3 courses plus coffee or tea with fudge or mince pies. We both opted for the Turkey plate. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, the turkey was excellent including both breast and leg meat. The service was friendly and efficient and price was good value for money.

Very disappointing Sunday roasts, the beef was tough and chewy, the nut 'roast' was a indistinguishable sludge, couldnt detect any nuts, and was sickly sweet with sweeten cranberries. The carrots were hard, & the Yorkshire pudding was very dry. The cauliflower cheese was good, and the female waitresses were lovely & helpful. The young men or boys (?) were clueless and clearly completely untrained in serving drinks. We won't be returning!

Why couldn't they give us a nice experience? We had come out for a mini celebration and to enjoy coffee and cake. We stood around waiting wondering whether we should go and find a table ourselves but a woman rushed us to the nearest table by the counter and with a draught from the door and people walking past. So I already wasn't happy as I wistfully looked at more pleasant tables. Our order was taken and eventually our desserts arrived but no coffee for me. There was an obvious error as my black forest gateau was enormous considering I asked for a child's portion whilst a family member had a dinky piece of chocolate cake when he'd wanted an adult's portion. It was so difficult to catch anyone's attention to discuss the error and I still hadn't been served my coffee. As for the Americano when it did arrive after further prompting it was poor. It tasted weak and flavourless. I've had better at Whetherspoons and actually much better service. Further chocolate cake was begrudgingly offered 'if he really wanted it'. But by then we wanted to get out and away. So we said we wanted to be charged for 2 child's portions. I will also give them free advice, they need to use a steam cleaner, in the ladies toilet as the toilet I used hadn't had a decent deep clean in a long time, lots of black grime around the edges of the floor and under the hand dryer. The door handle area was grubby too. Well, generally an unpleasant experience that ruined our little celebration. You appear to have to opt out of a service tip and since service was non existent I just said rather loudly no tip the service was terrible.

What a terrible and unwholesome place. This management is clearly amping up the negative energy and this is passed on to the waiting staff who all look depressed. They got our order wrong in several ways. You just need to read other recent reviews to see that this isn't a one off situation. The toilets were not clean at all. Avoid.
