I go there for a social drink. Real friendly landlady and regulars. Just started food again , knowing the chef it should be really good. Well worth a try.

This is a very nice community owned pub. Food is good. If you are doing the lovely round walk from Helford to St Anthony and back to Helford, this is a great place to stop off part way round. The welcome you get depends a bit on who of the community is serving that day. The last time I went I mentioned to my wife “Lovely pub, but I don’t think I’m Tory enough for it”. Daily Mail readers especially welcome; Daily Mirror readers less so.

Lovely thatched village pub with open fire, ample parking and very friendly atmosphere. We didn't eat here but would thoroughly recommend from the welcome and service we received. Thank you Kathy - we'll be back! ?

Honestly, the most delicious food with ever had for the best price, especially compared to some local rip-offs. I would choose this place every time. Next time I’m back this is where I’ll go. Real pain run by real people who love the place. How it should be

We were staying at a National Trust property down the road. We found the New Inn to have a brilliant atmosphere, lovely food and helpful staff in a beautiful area. We'll be back.

Pub came recommended to us in a guide book, and it didn’t disappoint. Food was fresh and tasty - local fish was excellent - and service was brilliant despite the fact we were a group of 10. Well worth the short drive

If I could pick up a pub and take it home for my local, this would be it!! Friendly, happy atmosphere. Excellent beer, food is outstanding, the carvery on Sundays is the best I've had in a pub. Anyone visiting this part of Cornwall should try it. And if you want the carvery on a Sunday you'll need to book, as it gets extremely busy!!!

Arrived at the New Inn at 1.45 on Sunday 9th July after a 10 mile walk with my son, hoping for a sandwich. Instead we had the best Sunday roast I have EVER tasted!! We couldn’t believe it - rare roast beef, loads of different veg, including cauliflower cheese and best of all the crunchiest roast potatoes with fluffy interiors. Definitely top of our list for future holidays in Cornwall.
