Food took a while to come but boy was it worth the wait! It's honestly the best gammon steak I've ever tasted and the chips too were lovely.A sny assessment includes everything I can't give it 5 stars. The cost of drinks is quite steep (£3 for a coke is a little ridiculous given we all know it costs less than £1 to pull the pint). The toilets were also kind of shocking. One was out of use, the baby change was broken, they weren't that clear and they just looked like they'd been left to decay. My partner had even worse issues in the males which only had one stall which had a broken seat. The seats were quite uncomfortable and a little small but this is a minor gripe.Hopefully they'll invest some money in improving these in the future as the venue should reflect the great food offered.

Not enough choice on the menu food is very bland staff are polite but it's a public house and you shouldn't have to book a table just for a bar meal or drink

Expensive pub grub. Overpriced microwaved puddings. Terrible unmaintained toilets. Probably won't give again.

A real little gem nestled in the Cornish Countryside. I booked a table for our annual family Christmas meal and was not disappointed. Staff, from my first phone call to book a table to the meal itself were faultless. Staff were friendly and efficient. Unfortunately a guest member couldn’t make it due to illness and another was running late and staff were very accommodating of this. The food was presented hot and delicious with no one left waiting. 10/10 for cleanliness as well. Every member of our party was very complimentary of all the above and I will definitely recommend Halfway House and would like to book our next family Christmas meal with them. ☺️?

Superb food, impeccable service, great all round experience. Would highly recommend. The home cooked chips were a welcome surprise from the usual frozen chip option served in pubs. Great steak and smashing deserts too

Nice atmosphere and good service. Food was a little on the basic side. We chose ham egg and chips and a very nice chicken pie. Prices reflected the comfort food menu. Still I was very happy to find they had Rattler on tap!

Very welcoming, we were quite early arriving but they went out of their way to accommodate us. This is the second visit and we will now probably stop off regularly on the way home to West Cornwall. The food is great, prices reasonable and the staff very helpful and friendly. Makes fora very relaxing meal break on the way home. Highly recommended.
